    Shawn Thornton was such a scumbag. Right up there with guys like Avery and Marchand. Piece of garbage. People talk about how hated the Canucks 2011 team was, the Bruins 2011 team was filled to the brim with rats and punks who played meathead hockey.

      What solidified it for me was when he was with Florida, the game where the Canucks won in OT and began a full bench clearing scrum, Henrik went by the bench to call out Thornton who had made a comment about the late Rick Rypien throughout the game.

       

      Shawn Thronton is a low life.

      @Coconuts  Avery even had a sense of irony of sorts.  Look at the following clip from the movie "The Rocket".  In it, Avery portrays a 'dirty player' that gets his cumeuppance from non other than Rocket Richard!
