  1. Indeed, they are nervous, trying to put up sand bags to hold back the tide, it will eventually fail as the Nucks are on a mission to prove JR wrong. GCG
  2. Let's finish February with Ws and start playing meaningful hockey in March. Fun Times. The side plot about trading with NYR should be hopping. Here's hoping Benning's plan (but for Green) took a little too long to get off the ground, for his sake, but will nonetheless fly like an angel. Frak selling, I hope we are in a position to buy some added muscle. I wonder if Poolman will free some cap space for a replacement. GCG
  3. Ouch! We need help on D. Wonder if we can pick up someone to replace Hunt. Someone big and tough.
  4. Thank you Nucks, you did your uniform proud. I love how collected Demko remains. Keep this level of intensity to the end and post-season here we come.
  5. I would love to see the Nucks knock these bums out in the first round. They are not that tough and will fold like a cheap tent under the pressure.
  6. I'm super pumped for this one! Hoping Bo, Dickinson, and Pearson step up thier physical play. GCG
  7. It's finally game day. I hope the boys show more compete than what they laid against the Ducks. The top 9 needs to be tougher at home, especially Dickie, Pearson, and Horvat. Show the world this is your rink, show the fans you are not soft, and show the league you have what it takes to make the play-offs. GCG
  8. Team is once again exposed at home for what it truly is: "soft". It's been opponents MO for years now. When at the Rog, come out hitting and pummel the soft Nucks into submission, get them off their game. The fluky deflection didn't help but that's hockey. We started hearing the "hard to play against" language from the new management group but without roster moves, it's painfully obvious that it's only an aspiration. Many here have been calling for more toughness for years now and the retort has always been: it's easy to add to this at the end of a rebuild, when it's time to make a push. I'm still waiting. It's complicated because Vancouver is a green peace and love city and Bettman has relentlessly over penalized Canuck enforcers while letting California teams take liberties. I have always wanted the team to live in the gutter for a while to end the soft stigma, while stock piling picks. But no, we would rather win meaningless games at the end of the season and keep a soft image. I feel better now. GCG
  9. Yup, he handled the drama seekers like a pro. I'm loving what he brings to the club. His record so far is beyond great, especially considering the Covid adversity. Enjoy the 2 points and keep winning the week...
  10. Wow, the boys can buy Demko several rounds. Sloppy game after the first. Nothing was working, they looked as though they were forcing too many plays. Love Burrows and Schen, need a few more like them. Great 2 points...
  11. Well the PK has been good so perhaps we can win despite the buttman antics. We need this more than the laffs so if the intensity is not there, it's a sign the team is done like my mother's perpetually over-cooked beef roasts. GCG
  12. I agree with Bruce B, the Islanders are a good team when healthy. It will be a tough game as both teams are in the PO race. Hoping the Nucks have their work boots on from puck drop and play with purpose. GCG!
  13. That Confederate flag on the bumper is fitting...
  14. Something about this thread. It's showing signs of fan fragility, the likes of which we have not seen since the California swing with Torts... While it's too early to tank, We have a management group that knows how if the time comes. The Poolman status is a head scratcher and I was hoping Ham would be back on the roster radar by now. A great opportunity for Gar and OEL to step up with Beags out for the Yotes. GCG!
  15. I guess it's time for me to tune out for a while. Too many forget the great record under BB and simply want to blow things up because of one loss against a great team on a back to back. A team, BTW, that we beat the previous time we played. Let's see what BB's record will be by the TD and if it's around 650, I'm not surprised. If we don't make the play-offs this year we have the summer to retool and toughen up. It's unfortunate but the delay in pulling the pin on Green is what created such a deep hole. Play-offs this season would be a miracle run. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't mean the core is bad. A number of factors are at play, including immaturity, Covid, and a Green hangover. GCG.
  16. That was sad but I remain hopeful for the post break stretch. Don't give Brock or Pettey any time off however, they need to work on a few things. Bo too.
