  1. I agree. Mourinho can go with various formations once Ibra returns. He's going to return better than ever whenever he may hit the pitch which is projected to be in the 2nd half of the season as expected. definitely a luxury for Mou. Lukaku has been a beast so far and I am loving the move even more. he's a goal scoring machine and what's even better is that he has much needed Champs League experience with Wolfsberg (briefly), Chelsea.. so good around the 18 yard box and even better finishing ability inside. yup no luck at all. reminds me when Bayern stole Hummels from Dortmund. he was one of the favourite players back when he was playing for them. I'll be pissed if some giant throws money on Pulisic as he's starting to be developing into a star though don't think Dortmund will let him go without paying the price. but it is justified to let Dembele go when you get that mammoth of fee for him. I'll take the money and run any day lmao
  2. What a fight back by the team! great point and well deserved! great effort shown and I agree that the sending off of Tchani gave the team the boost they desperately needed but that was nice hustle, speed, skill by Davies and a lovely assist to set up Montero for the finish. awesome match to watch. the penalty given in the 1st half to the Sounders was not surprising. at first it looked like it wasn't but taking a 2nd look it was no brainer call. Laba is missed though. he's the midfield. he makes timeless and clutch tackles time and time again. hopefully the fill ins step it up and play well
  3. yeeeeees! so happy to have Ibra back on a 1 year deal. once he recovers from his brutal knee injury that needed surgery, he and Lukaku can form a formidable duo up top in our already deadly attack. it might take some time to get used to one another but it will eventually work out. elated to have gotten this done. we can easily have one of the best attacking teams in the world. that's how good we would be when Ibra gets healthy. @Lateralus91 I feel for you and Dortmund. having the Spurs in the group too doesn't make things easier either. i still think Dortmund will get by to the Rnd of 16. we got one of the most youngest, deadliest teams in the world and once kids like Dembele (if he stays), Pulisic, Mor, etc continue their development in the right direction, I could see the team being a threat for CL and the team is already one in Bundeliga. only a matter of time
  4. Boom! Irving to the Celtics with Thomas, Crowder, Zizic and 2018 Nets' 1st round pick heading Cavs' way. Loving this action! Both Celtics and Cavs are going to be looking very interesting next season and familiar with one another. Cavs adding Thomas and one of the most solid perimeter shooters in Crowder. Then they also get that precious Nets' pick which is projected to be bottom 5 unless they surprise some teams. I see this being a win for the Cavs but this could be a win for Celtics if new Celtic Kyrie leads them to the ship. Already looking forward to next season! Bring it on
  5. Signing Kerfoot would just top off the marvelous work Benning has done since he's taken over. He has stocked up our pool and it's only a matter of time that it pays dividends

I'd rather see Bo get his contract worked out.

Yes to spending efforts locking up Bo.  Kerfoot comes free, but he is 23.  If he was a Dman then I could see oom for him to really improve.  As a forward, he's likely at or close to his ceiling, which is probably a fringe NHLer.

Yeah very true. I'm sure both Bo and the Canucks are working on something that fit what they want and only a matter of time he gets a deal signed pen to paper.

But Alf, I still believe there's a chance for him to grow and possibly maximize and fulfill his potential. Young player with good skill, size, speed. Checks everything we need. I see him becoming a solid middle 6 forward in our lineup one day or possibly as early as this upcoming season

  6. Yeah Pillar comes up clutch! He's been solid in the series vs the defending World Series champs edit: but we couldn't hang on. Sigh..
  7. He has a bright future ahead of him. Best for him would be another year in junior/Finland. But if he impresses and builds off the momentum he had this prospects camp, he will certainly be on the radar for making the Canucks roster. He'll have some stiff competition having solid D ahead of him like Biega, Chatfield, Pedan, Subban, McEneny, etc so he'll have to be a very good player. Hopefully he cracks the team
  8. Solid game by the lads today. The 1st half impressed me the most. Reyna was fantastic today. He was great on both sides of the ball today. Created the penalty that got the team up and running with Montero burying his team leading 10th goal and followed moments later by the phenomenal strike from distance by Reyna himself. He is starting to become a key piece in the lineup. He got fouled quite a lot too with his speed being his most valuable quality and got him cramped up at the end. Nevertheless he was MOTM today. Absolutely sensational
  9. Phenomenal performance by Man U. Bailly gets his 1st goal as a Red Devil off a initial header hitting the bar. Lukaku continues his torrid start in his MU career with another nifty finish into the bottom corner from Mickey's 1st assist. Pogba did great off a interception going on the counter right away and capitalizing off another nice play set up Mickey. Then Martial sealed the deal with another goal as he's another player that's had a solid start to the season as well. Incredible how Matic takes this team to another level and elevates the team's play and structure. He's starting to become a favourite of mine quite quickly.
  10. Just tuned in.. one of the first games I'm watching this season. How have the Leos been tonight @spur1? Liking the in game commentary going on in here. Lol
  11. Haha Bale played bench warmer again due to the continued rise of Asensio. Now this kid has been money and is living his dream. Barca made a offer back when he was playing with Espanyol but rejected to play for Madrid. He's the next star in the making no one knows about yet. His goal today was world class and he's making a statement on why even without CR7 they have him around. Sealed Barca's fate in the Cup tie as well. They had nothing going right. Well deserved Spanish Cup victory!
  12. Thanks @kj29 for running this amazing league and to everyone who were active and rest of the teams for making it awesome to be a part of! It was a fantastic 1st season. After this stacked team that I took over and ended up winning again I'm assuming, I'm open to mixing things up and making moves. Seabrook, Toews, Carter and more are available for the right price. Hmu if you're interested
  13. Donaldson's been hot as of late. I have to say that he's officially back and he's starting to turn a corner. Hit a opposite field home run in last night's game. The team is on fire right now and once Sanchez comes back off DL, this will make the team much better. Then once the rest of the team gets healthy, we should still be in the mix of things. Just gotta keep winning series from here on out
  14. Seahawks looking solid but Leos... not so much. Might've been a mistake starting Jennings tbh when Lulay had been riding the hot hand
  15. Got a interview for Starbucks tomorrow. Any tips on what to do and what things to do to make them like me and hopefully hire me?

Thanks PC and TS! I feel like I did great but may have a mishap or two. Other than that, hope I get the call at the end of the week

Was this your first interview? If so, even if the result doesn't end up being what you want the experience alone is good for you.

and what was the deal again?

we each get 10% of your first pay cheque??

  16. What a way to start the season! Lukaku with a brace in his official PL debut with United and Pogba, Matic, Mkhitaryan and the whole team as well were just as brilliant. Nice counter on the Lukaku's goal by Rashford and able to find him to notch his 1st PL goal with United. Then Lukaku was able to get on the end of Mickey's free kick. Mkhitaryan was able to find Martial who was able to put a composed finish. Martial was creating this time as he found country mate Pogdance who rounds off the scoring. What a thriller and hopefully it's the first of a successful campaign!
  17. There could be some truth to Mbappe links to PSG. But I don't think PSG has launched an official bid yet. We all know he's going to be Real bound in the next year or two. Special kid with one of a kind qualities and super keen eye for goal. I see him staying out with Monaco till at least winter transfer window but more likely next summer. According to The Score, I haven't seen any PSG links but who knows. In other news, Neymar is cleared to played in PSG's Ligue 1 opener tomorrow. looking forward to tomorrow's United's season opener. Going to face a familiar face in Chicharito who we should've kept and his West Ham squad. Probably going to few changes after the Super Cup loss to Madrid but not expecting many. Excited to see how things go
  18. @Lateralus91 I hope Dembele doesn't ditch Dortmund for Barca. After seeing them reject €100 million, I think it's a smart and wise decision to reject the offer. He's so young and showed his potential to be a world class talent last season. Scored numerous clutch goals for the club throughout the year and he's going to just as good if not better this season. Lots to like about the wunderkid
  19. In other news, less competition to face against for United as Coutinho is set to join Barca for a reported €90 million that can rise to €120 million. I really liked the effort shown throughout the match by United in the Super Cup. They are a team trending in the right direction and only a matter of time it starts to dominate like what most of us fans are used to seeing. Really good potential that I'm really looking forward to.
  20. Lukaku makes up for his missed chance. Back in it! Down 2-1 now
  21. If we manage to pull off the upset and beat the defending C/L champs today in the UEFA Super Cup, it will be a step towards greatness again. I'm not really expecting a win but we certainly want to see. It will show how far we have come to get to this point and even without the biggest splashes this summer with Matic, Lukaku being the key ones, we are destined and heading towards domination of Europe. Winning the Super Cup would just be icing on the cake. Regarding whether the league or C/L is better trophy to win, both have their advantages and disadvantages. For the P/L title, it shows that you have maintained your consistency as a club and played just as well in the domestic cup comps. For the C/L title, it solidifies how good you really are and that you're the best in Europe. I honestly don't care about the league if we win the C/L and it matters to me in a sense as well but it's best to be just as good because once you face one of the European giants (Juve, Roma, Bayern, Madrid, Barca..), you're going to be in tough in a way the way those teams are structured and have some of the best players in the world. But they aren't perfect. I see United as being a dark horse sort of like Dortmund, Benfica where they can surprise and silence the critics. What I'm saying I guess is that C/L is far valuable than the league title but it's good to be just as consistent just in case as you'll need to focus on those sooner rather than later as you come across a giant in the Champs League
  22. Super Cup in a couple days! Looking forward to seeing how Lindelof, Lukaku, Matic, our new signings, do alongside the rest of the team and how they fit in. They seem like they have seamlessly integrated well into the team. It's going to be a tough match against the Kings of Europe in Madrid but they have their flaws. Definitely excited to see how Pogba being free and able to roam more takes his game back to the level he was playing at in Juve. He's going to be much more exciting to watch and frightening to play against.
  23. wasn't surprised with the transfer. he wants an opportunity to become one of the best footballers and decided it wasn't going to be in Barca playing with the one of best players in Messi. then there's also the factor that Enrique isn't coaching the team anymore which probably played another role into why he didn't want to be with the club no longer. imagine if the United move came to fruition though... then we would arguably have one of the best attacks in all of the football in Neymar, Lukaku and Mkhitaryan. I'm happy with what the Red Devils have done though. Getting Matic for a steal was robbery. read from The Score that this could free Pogba from his defensive duties and enable him to be more aggressive on the attack while Matic takes care of the defensive responsibilities with his stellar tackling, marking and on target passing. Exciting times ahead if you're a United fan!
  24. We finally got ourselves a leadoff hitter. I see Aoki as very Ichiro like
