  1. Cue the Ronaldo to United rumours and hope thy they prevail!
  2. I really think Davies isn't playing striker because he has such great pace, speed, skill, shot making ability that he can be a good creator for his teammates as well and checks off everything that you want from a winger. One day when he becomes a more consistent goal scorer, he will eventually become a no.10. For now, I think it's best to not pressure the kid and let him develop and improve on his game
  3. Ahh right. Clutch player. Strange that we don't have a proper backup so he can get his rest from time to time but Maile has been a pleasant surprise and a good pickup by the management team so far. Everyone has been picking up the slack without Travis which is great to see
  4. I thought JD was your favourite player since I remember you were saying you had his jersey. Nevertheless, feels good to get the W and within a game of .500 again. Can't screw this up. Need to win tonight to pull back into the division race.
  5. Nah of course not. Hischier is a lock for #1, Patrick at 2. The rest is so wide open that you can go with any kid. I'm just blurting out the possible picks Benning could choose and I'm sure all those I mentioned have been on his radar for quite some time. We badly need a forward but won't be surprised if we pick another D considering Makar, Heiskanen may be available and if say Dallas, Colorado go with the pair as what's ranked by Bob McKenzie above, then Vilardi, Mittelstadt, Glass will all be in the picture
  6. I have Makar's game has me interested in him and makes me wonder how high JB has him on his list. I'd say his list would be aside from the top 2: Vilardi, Makar, Heiskanen, Glass maybe not in this order but he has these as his targets. You can also add Pettersson after the Dahlen acquisition. There's plenty of options to consider considering how wide open this draft is that you can't really go wrong with who you pick. Scouts are going to be getting their money's worth and whoever finds that gem will have set the franchise for many years of future success. Right now, I still have Vilardi as my pick because if say Glass, Heiskanen, Makar are gone, he'd go with the strong, versatile forward. Good frame, shot, playmaking, great in all 3 zones, hard nosed player who finishes off any chances around the net. But if we pick Necas, Mittelstadt, I'd understand the pick as well. Overall, lots of ways we can go but if we manage to trade up to 3 or trade for 3 without including our 5, then this would set the future up perfectly as we'd have some promising looking prospects who would make an impact 2-3 years from now
  7. Uncle Drew is nuts. So hilarious. He's a legend in his own right. Love that he kept playing even when he was missing in his 1st few shots in the video. He would be one hell of a crazy uncle to have
  8. Makar has been climbing draft rankings based on Button' last mock draft. If he drops at 5, I think it would be a steal. Just think about it though, a D who can move the puck, rush it and QB a PP. I'd one anyway but we have quite a lot of D with Edler, Stecher, Tanev, Guddy, Hutty and we're going to lose Sbisa to Vegas for sure barring if Benning decides to protect him then we're going to lose someone even better. Heiskanen was ranked where we're slotted to pick at 5 so quite a lot of D. I'd still take Vilardi, Mittelstadt, Glass if one of the trio is still available. Glass was taken early in the mock draft so we have to be ready for eventuality of him not being available. That narrows our options to Heiskanen, Vilardi, Mittelstadt. Between the 3, I still want Vilardi. He has the size, skill, handles, IQ, playmaking ability, shot making, and phenomenal board play to show in his game. Great in all 3 zones and I can easily picture both he and Bo being our 1C and 2C down the road and absolutely dominating our opposition with their hard work both in the backcheck and forecheck and being a force offensively as well creating and finishing chances. If Vilardi is available, I have no doubts Benning will snag him. I'd trade up to 3 if we have to to get him but if he slips, it's a huge win
  9. I have to say Warriors are some team. Durant just makes them an even better team and obviously showed this Finals. Thompson, Curry, Green all sacrificed just so Durant could excel in the spotlight when it mattered most. Big kudos to LeBron though. He put everything out on the floor every game and averaged a triple double. Insane stuff! But KD was the difference having an amazing Finals and well deserved 1st Finals MVP. Hopefully he ditches GS to go back to OKC after his contract expires. Can't leave Westbrook hanging
  10. Yes! CDC is back. Thank god. Couldn't go another day without it

Idk what I'd do without my Jays bros :(

  11. That's some frightening numbers there. He can join an elusive group like Lewandowski, Aubameyang if he continues his rise and impresses in the first team. Of course, he's a long way away from that but more like in a few years or so, you can easily see him on the pitch if he translate his success or more likely on the bench so he can continue to learn from youngsters (Pulisic, Dembele) and the vets (Reus, Auba, Castro, etc). Right now, he's fine with continuing to learn and keep playing at these levels so he can improve on any facet of his game that he may be weak in. Good bright future for the kid
  12. I actually like Ty Lue and if he pulls off the comeback against this Warriors super team, he will be known as one of the best ever coaches to pull off consecutive titles in remarkable fashion that's never been done and will probably be in the conversation as one of the top 5 coaches in history. What he pulled off last year was unbelievable and if they keep their season going after tomorrow, how can you not believe they can pull it off, he's going to be part of a exclusive group and only in his 2nd year as head coach so he's still a rook. LeBron will probably be the GOAT if he wins this year once more. I'm rooting for him to pull it off as he's one of the most genuine players the game is lucky to have. Him and Irving always give it their all and play with heart. That doesn't mean the rest of the team doesn't which they do but the responsibility the pair have is unreal and they get it done when it matters most. Can't wait to see the Warriors' fans crying yet again after they don't win a title even with Durant haha
  13. Any idea where he's at? It isn't the same without him. We always had a good time during last year's playoff run. It was fun. For the time being, JD is feeling it. You can tell he's seeing the ball really well.
  14. Smoak continues to sparkle. That extension is paying off by the day. We are getting a steal. Who needs Edwin now when you have Justin friggin Smoak. Just continues to impress by the day and raking balls out of the ballpark. He is a difference maker
  15. Tough blow for Dortmund definitely. Having Philipp fill in will help the loss but isn't the same as having Reus. He plays the game at a high level and thinks the game much better than the most players. Apparently he's hoping to be in full fitness by 2018 . Dembele, Pulisic will all help out as well. Bosz will have his work cut out for him but he should be able to build off Tuchel's success.
  16. Excited to catch tonight's game. Hopefully they make it count and win it!
  17. Well great to have signed a young center back in Lindelof. We had Smalling, Jones so I wonder what does that mean for them. Now that I think about it, they'll be used in the league more with us now having C/L to pile our fixture schedule similar to how this season went. I'm assuming Lindelof and Bailly partnership for Champs League with Rojo potentially in the mix as well. Now we need to get the Morata signing done now and add a midfielder to solidify things. Great start to the transfer window, the first of many signings to come United agrees to sign Benfica's Lindelof for €35M fee https://www.thescore.com/epl/news/1316515
  18. That was an unbelievable game. Best game in the series. Cavs kept scoring and scoring and their defence was a brick wall for most of the night. They even broke the record for most points in the half. Kyrie was spectacular nailing shot after shot. Couple really nice runners, nailing clutch 3s and jump shots. Really want the Cavs take it to the distance. May be tough being in GS but they've done it before. Warriors really like to take it to the refs a lot. Green and Kerr especially.. wtf are you complaining about.. a foul's a foul. Move on lol. LeBron's own pass to himself off the glass for a jam was one of the plays of the game. Can't wait till next game. Series starting to get exciting again
  19. I haven't been checking in on this thread as of late but really excited for this year's entry draft. If Benning finds a way to acquire another top 5 pick say Dallas', I'm prepared to go all in and give Sbisa plus a 2nd, and if they want more give both 2nds. Having 2 picks in the top 5 would be a game changer for our franchise and help speed things up a bit. I don't expect us to be a playoff team until a couple more years but for now, I believe we can be next year. Right now, draft rankings seem to be all over the place. Pettersson seems like a very solid pick right now but can't go wrong with Glass, Vilardi, Necas, Mittelstadt also and if Makar, Heiskanen are available. Preds' D and Cup run makes me think we should continue to go D heavy and build one of strongest, youngest, skilled blueline in the league similar to Columbus as well. But a forward would be a welcome addition if we snag Vilardi, Mittelstadt. Either way I'll be happy. Going D or F will help our team greatly and hopefully they can have a good showing in t/c and make the team
  20. https://www.thescore.com/liga/news/1315810 So while the forums were down for quite some time, United announced they wouldn't extend Ibra and Morata agrees to join United and only thing separating them is a fee to work on between the two teams. I was worried that Milan had swooped in earlier couple weeks ago but thankfully, United showed their interest again for Morata. Really like the kid. Good hold up play, passing, shot and good header. He's the perfect no. 9 we need to surround around the likes of Pogba, Mickey, Herrera, Rashford. Now our work may not be done but this is a step towards the right direction. Going young, fast, full of pace and skill. This is the way to go and hopefully this is the 1st of many signings. Of course, this move could fall through if a fee is not agreed upon but Morata appears to have agreed to join. Great news for sure!
  21. Without the forum, it was like heart was gone as well

  22. Friggin Durant just had to ruin things. It was a perfect night for the Cavs nevertheless other than the last few minutes. Win or go home next game. I want the Cavs to make history again and win 4 in a row
  23. I agree. He's been a beast tonight along with LBJ as well
  24. I believe so. Not a Chelsea fan but Costa said that Conte doesn't want him there anymore from what I read from The Score so that obviously means he wants to be with Atletico again or go overseas. Nevertheless it seems like his time as a Blue is dwindling to a close
