  1. https://www.thescore.com/chlg/news/1315138 Its been mentioned above by @CaptainCanuck001 but United have submitted a much improved €60 million, after their initial bid of €52 million got rejected by Madrid. He's a good solid target. Even with Ronaldo in the picture in Madrid, he notched 20 goals in all comps. Hopefully this bid paves the way for his arrival as a Red Devil!
  2. Smoak continues to be his consistent self and has the most homers since last month. Donaldson and Pillar hit bombs as well. Good to see the team back on track
  3. Heard from TSN Sanchez will be back before the All Star break. Good news. We're almost at a full squad once he's returns other than the Travis injury. Tough loss last night though. Need to bounce back tonight
  4. Tough to choose between all the options. I'll have to say Roberto Carlos is better than Marcelo in my opinion still. Marcelo has done a lot of great things for Madrid and he still has plenty in the tank like Ramos to continue doing what he's doing which is attack forward, defend resolutely and join the counter attack. But no one can be better than Roberto Carlos. He was a one of a kind player. Didn't watch a lot of him since I was just a little kid when he became a star for Madrid and didn't know a lot about sports then but from the few video highlight packages I watched, he seems to be a fantastic free kick taker. I believe one match with his international team where he struck one from over 30 yards, and he absolutely put a delightful finish. It's become known as the Banana shot now. Winning the World Cup is more exciting because you won it for your country along with your fellow countrymates. C/L is fun as well but it isn't as fun as winning the WC for your home country. Ronaldo has usurped Messi now imo in terms of trophies won which makes him the better player and he always has a knack for coming up clutch in Cup final matches which is thus I would pick him over Messi if I were going to start a new team today. He's a great player with great pace, skill, playmaking and knows how to make the players around him better. He's a player you would love to have that you can build around. Same with Messi but as of today, Ronaldo is who I'd go with
  5. @Lateralus91 happy with the move. He knows how to coach young talent and get the best out of them like what he's accomplished with Ajax with the likes of Dolberg. He took the team all the way to the Europa League final with United getting the better of them. I really think he can get Pulisic, Dembele, Passlack, Durm and other youngsters to be even better players than they are now. BVB can easily be a contender for the league and C/L but Aubameyang linked to PSG makes me wary of how good they'll be along with the Reus knee ligament surgery. But having the youngsters I mentioned above take the next steps will ultimately decide how good they can become.
  6. Yeah very true. It was obvious what was going to come our way. Injuries as mentioned before played a big part in why this playoffs wasn't as entertaining. Griffin, Lowry, Leonard, Parker the few stars out for their respective teams who would've been difference makers and could've eliminated the Cavs or Warriors. With injuries to those teams, it ended up being a cake walk for both the Warriors and the Cavs. regarding the game yesterday, LeBron tired out in the 1st half and was gassed in the 2nd. He played his heart out in the first couple qtrs. A guy like Korver, Smith, Frye (why is he on the bench?!?!) would've needed to step up and they didn't do enough. I still think Cavs can pull it off or that wouldn't be no fun. Don't want the Warriors to make it look easy winning a championship
  7. I agree. Happ is leaving fastballs over the plate and that guy Healy is crushing them out of the park. Thankfully we have a heavy powered offense that's starting to make its move now
  8. I agree. If we trade up, we most likely have to include our own pick to make the deal happen. Hischier and Patrick are the cream of the crop but after the two, the rest of the group are interchangeable and even I can't come up with a perfect draft rankings. Glass, Makar, Mittelstadt, Necas are all young kids that I really like and should fit in our core group seamlessly. Heiskanen, Vilardi are solid options and no brainer picks if either one is available at 5
  9. Yeah but from the replay here at home, it looked liked it was just over the line. Oh well a goal's a goal. Montero was there to make sure it was in for sure. We defended brilliantly today imo and couple good saves by Ousted. Waston was a beast and I was pulling for him to get the hatty as well. It's all good as he had a great match.
  10. Didn't get a chance to catch fight night but I was pulling for Aldo to retain his featherweight title. Oh well it's all good. There's always another chance
  11. I agree and really solid, versatile midfielder. I see why he's in the lineup. Defends well, makes good clearances, and makes clutch tackles. Nice assist on Waston's goal. He's starting to come around quite well which is great to see. Parker scored a 3rd goal to seal the win. Great match played overall
  12. Waston with a lovely finish. Great ball by Jacobson. Back to all square
  13. Can't wait for United to beat the crap out of Madrid in the Super Cup. Bring it on, Real!
  14. Cmon Ramos.. you barely got pushed and Cuadrado was trying to get the ball. What a joke.
  15. Lmao I go to KFC to grab lunch then Madrid are up 3-1... tf.. Higuain needs to step it up now Dybala is subbed
  16. I was thinking the same. Feeling Pjanic could get it done as well as he came close one time in the 1st half. But this can easily go extra time and penalties. Both teams cautious but this is a game where Dybala and Higuain will come up clutch and win the European Crown
  17. Warriors look unstoppable right now. If the Cavs don't tighten their D up on Durant and Curry, then this could be a quick series. But I expect them to bounce back and take Game 2. +5 on the Cavs taking it
  18. Wow that should be a goal of the year candidate.. Mandzukic with a brilliant finish
  19. Crap. Ronaldo again. So lucky though. It went off Bonucci..
  20. I see what you mean by fine as hell. She's beautiful and pretty af haha.. Meanwhile, with Khloe, she's been bouncing around quite a lot with a bunch of dudes. I'm a guy and I'm looking around for the right girl still while she's been around so many and she can't pick and stick with one. Ladies these days lol
  21. I'm excited for tomorrow as well. May not be able to watch it but if I manage to, hopefully Juve finish Madrid. There's no way they can break through the BBC back line and stop the attack of Dybala and Higuain. They'll have their hands full vs Madrid with Ronaldo always being a threat but Alves knows how he plays from his La Liga days so he should be able to keep him in check. Forza Juve!
  22. https://www.thescore.com/epl/news/1311922 We have certainly moved on and we have made our first splash which I consider major but probably not with others with the signing of Perisic from Inter. I consider him a solid winger and midfielder, good playmaking ability, can create opportunities for others and his teammates. Scored 18 goals and 14 assists for Inter in 70 Serie A appearances. Excited to see how he fits in and does here in United!
  23. I was thinking this earlier as well. Korver was off his game tonight missing shots in transition in the 1st half. Irving was certainly feeling it for a while and LeBron was good. At the end though, Warriors are too good and there's a reason they've been undefeated so far in the playoffs. LeBron' poster on Pachulia was spectacular though off Thompson's assist early in the game. But got out of hand rather quickly and Durant was the difference
  24. Durant went ham today. He had few drives where he just drove hard to the rim without a defender in his face and they never looked back. Really want LeBron vs Durant in both ends of the floor. They had Iguodala early on on LeBron and for most of this game. Cavs need to step it up if they want to beat this Warriors who look unstoppable right now
  25. https://www.thescore.com/epl/news/1311097 lot is riding tomorrow. If Atletico' transfer ban is upheld, then Atletico could be forced to keep Griezmann. If it is reversed, then he can easily be on his way to United. Atletico have already come to terms with Lacazette as mentioned awhile ago here so they already have a replacement in mind. He has a €100 mill release clause but to United that's loose change haha. Apparently they had a agreement to €15 mill salary in the January transfer window and just didn't get into any fruition. The deal will probably be announced this summer. Other news, Madrid made a bid of €60 million for De Gea but United rejected. He's probably our 3rd best keeper in United history behind Schmeichel and Van der Sar so I'm hoping we keep him. Keepers like him don't come around often
