  1. I agree. Not sure if Lockwood is going to play, but adding Podkolzin, Dries, Petan and Martin is going to make a huge difference. Hopefully Lockwood is good to go. All the best to the baby Canucks!
  2. That's what I love about Schenn's game. He keeps it simple, doesn't score much, takes the body and doesn't take crap from no one or hesitate to stand up for his teammates. Burrough's that same type of player.
  3. Injuries, plus being without Lockwood, Dries and Petan doesn't help. They are all now returning, including Podkolzin and Martin in net. Hopefully the injuries aren't long term.
  4. I don't know if their fans could handle it again! I was downtown Toronto watching the game 7 meltdown against the Bruins with some friends and let me tell ya! I tried my hardest not to laugh out loud. Haha!
  5. Exactly. The team improved dramatically, which made the game fun again, and he's endeared himself to the fans and the city. It should be a no-brainer.
  6. Depends on how much he wants to be part of this team. Only time will tell.
  7. 6 x $8.5 a year would be a fair deal all around.
  8. Fair enough. I'm saying, based on the last few years of production, obviously this year being his best, his agent will demand max.
  9. How do you know that he doesn't still want to be part of this team?
  10. This I agree with. There's no way JT's agent will start in the 7 mil range. Not happening. Otherwise, that would be a miracle.
  11. I was at the Edmonton game in February where Martin stopped 50 of 52 shots. Hindsight's 20/20, but yeah, he definitely deserves the opportunity.
  12. Hey, you should never judge a man by the colour of his neck!
  13. Other fans educate him? How? By being subjected to a drunken goof who'll most likely respond by starting a fight?
  14. He deserves it. He's finding his game, he's only 20, and he's only going to get better!
  15. I'd rather not trade either. They're both young, dynamic and proven. Anyway you slice it, the price would be steep.
  16. I agree that they are essentially non-tradeable, but even if they were open to offers, what you suggested is just not worth it to the Canucks. You're losing 4 damn good players, plus two 1sts and a 2nd. Our GM would have to be out of their mind to make that deal.
  17. This a huge overpayment by the Canucks. No deal.
