    That's laughable, to say the least. I'm no fanboy, but he actually drafted and restocked the system with pretty damn good players, in spite of his misses and bonehead trades and signings. And yeah, that was Gillis who left the cupboards bare.

    I agree. He's clearly been one of our best players since he's arrived, a ppg guy, with grit, who hates to lose. Every team needs guys like him, and it just so happens, he's on our team. But hey, let's trade away that albatross of a contract.

    Hello? It wasn't FA. Look it up. The family screwed the guy who owns the Dallas Stars, then it wasn't until 2012 until FA somehow gained control of the team, and ever since then, it's been a shit show. Does that make any sense to you?

    No, it's not wrong. The family bought the team in 2004, but it wasn't until 2012 that FA was running the team. Look it up Einstein.

    In spite of your obvious hate for Benning, my point was, we need to be patient. Gillis left with all those wonderful NMC's too. As far as new management goes, sure. But why is it we're in a cap crunch now?
