  1. Although I agree with struggling because of the reasons you've pointed out, he is a pro making solid dough, playing in the best league in the world - he should act like it.
  2. Should that even be in the equation? I know you are kidding. But unless you get a major return, there's no point trading a player every team would love to have. We need him too.
  3. He's going to become a bull in a China shop. Said it months ago. Larianov was right.
  4. The thing is, sure it's on this/our team, but it is common throughout the league. My beef is, if you're making millions of dollars playing the game you love and are playing in the best league in the world, it's a privilege, respect it.
  5. This is absolutely true. Especially if you're making 5+ million a year, step up to the plate. There shouldn't be any excuses. It's pretty pathetic.
  6. The eastern bias is for real against the Canucks. What a joke.
  7. This is the best answer. The only point of being a team is to win. Why would you trade a key component? The time is now, not in the future.
  8. He's never played full-time in the NHL, and yes, he's entitled to more, but as I'm impressed with his performances, the Canucks should sign him on a show-me deal.
  9. Trevor is a Canuck true and true. None of us no exactly what exactly played out behind the scenes with Benning and FA. If you know, please enlighten us.
  10. I love Trevor, they are both guys you go to war with, but Stan gets the nod here. Imagine both in their prime.
  11. Unreal. You're right, many times it was war. Even Brad Maxwell could throw 'em down. Amazing team and Smyl was the heart and soul, as he was with the Canucks. That's why his number is hanging from the rafters.
  12. I watched him with the New Westminster Bruins, along with Barry Beck, coached by Ernie "Punch" McLean. Happy Birthday Stanley!
  13. Your hate for Boeser is ridiculous. Get over it Stawns. He'll get much more than a 4th or 5 the d man.
  14. This is absolutely true. Obviously Kane as a player is someone you'd want on your team. But like you said, he's worn out his welcome. As far as term, not a chance. He's at the point where he plays-as-he-goes. Whoever signs him, good luck. And all the best to him as well.
  15. That's the thing, IF you can get an amazing return, sure. But he's the exact type of player every team needs, including our Canucks.
  16. Who cares if he has more value now? Of course he does, that's pretty obvious. I would find out first whether he wants to be part of THIS team moving forward. You don't throw away player's like JT just because you're trying to capitalize on a great return. Why do you think so many other teams are interested in him? Why should we trade away that caliber of player? We need him too. He's the kind of guy who hates losing.
  17. I agree. If teams are interested in our 4th line sparkplugs, why should we even move them? Keep 'em to ourselves.
  18. Miller is a player you win cups with. He'll go to the wall for you. Figure out a way to keep him and build around.
