  1. No. I threw the guy over the coat check counter.
  2. The fact he grew that much and having to adjust is a very good point. It happened to me and it took a few months.
  3. I personally would be so ashamed based on their contracts compared to their productivity.
  4. I agree. This guy is not going to be a passenger.
  5. You're right. He was over-paid because he was a 1st overall pick. Hasn't lived up to that. Too soft. Pass.
  6. I think it's best to let him play, learn and develop into the player he's going to become. Personally, I can already see he will be a handful to deal with. As far as immediately expecting him to produce over 50 points, I think that's unrealistic. Let the kid find his own way in the NHL.
  7. As much as I appreciate your great sense of humor with the FIRE GREEN thing, this is beyond Dumb.
  8. No apologies needed, and I am well aware it would cost an arm and a leg to obtain McD. IMO, I wouldn't pull either of those trades. Fair enough?
  9. You just traded away 5 NHL players, plus 4 potential players for 2 elite players? McDavid or Eichel can only be at one place at one time. Giving up Petersson, Hughes, Horvat, Miller, Schmidt, Lind, plus 3 1st round picks isn't worth it. Neither of these superstars have the ability to take their current teams to the next level, at least so far. I wouldn't bet the farm on them.
  10. The talent pool is already diluted enough. It will never happen, but if the league cut back on teams, the quality of the end result would improve dramatically and eliminate cheap shot artists in general, who are willing to do anything to make their mark in the big league.
  11. That's just a real bad take. Why are you giving up OJ in order to get rid of LE? That's insane. Loui's done after next year. Leave it at that and don't give up potentially great assets.
  12. Yeah, but that's like saying, JV hasn't come out and produced yet, which he has, even though others are disappointed with his draft positioning, production, etc. At least JV has shown signs of being an NHL player and has gotten better year by year. Plus, at this point, no one is going to take Jake until, at least this mess is cleared up, or not. Another side note - Andersson was drafted 7th overall, not too far from where Jake was drafted. They both haven't lived up to their potential.
  13. Hey, who knows? Maybe they'll hire the twins as co-presidents of operations! You know, two heads are better than one! Haha!
  14. Fair enough, but my point about expansion is that it saturates the quality of play. And so does adding that extra ref. It's an extra body that gets in the way, that doesn't or shouldn't have to be there. Plus, too many cooks in the kitchen.
  15. That's another great point. Pushing for expansion, plus deterioration of talent, the death of the enforcer, and adding that extra, useless body on the ice is crippling this league.
  16. The other thing, including the death of the enforcer is, Buttman pushing expansion, made it possible for crap players who would never have played in the NHL. You cut back the teams to say, 24, and you eliminate 200 fringe players. Edit: Plus, the quality of play would improve immensely.
  17. Never liked scum sucking crap like him. That's why when Lowery of the Jets helped Horvat off, when asked about it, said "he's a good guy and plays the right way." There is a right way to play this game, even if it's hard hitting. Kadri, Tkapuke, players like that, are total dirt bags. That's why no one on the Flamers will stand up for the loser.
  18. Your CAPS LOCK is stuck!!! Haha! Plus, learn how to spell.
  19. Only Canuck fans would Twitter on the ledge... FTFY! Haha!
  20. I agree. They only crawl out of the darkest, creepiest holes to smear and create absolute garbage.
  21. Which is exactly what the majority of this person's posts are... ridiculous/stirring the pot. IS HE/SHE SERIOUS?
  22. Don't underestimate the stupidity of other GMs. We just need 1 or 2 GMs to go way off the board lol. It happened the year we drafted Hughes. Montreal took Kotkaniemi, and Arizona chose Hayton. Definitely unexpected choices.
