I have to laugh at this because we've managed to get Boeser, Petey, Hughes, and now Podkolzin, Hoglander, Demko, etc, without tanking. The draft is a crap shoot, and a perfect example is Philly being ranked 13th, yet ending up picking 2nd. They didn't tank, but somehow were lucky enough to move up 11 spots. And yeah, I know you'll point out that Podkolzin hasn't played a game in the NHL, but...

The problem with 'we should keep to the facts' is, what are the facts? Does this Canuck Surfer know the actual facts? No. As mentioned, he said the fact is that Jake has been accused of sexual misconduct. True. But then, why is he telling you to stick to the facts when all you're doing is presenting an idea that could possibly be true, or not? He may not remember anything from that night. And I'm not saying that justifies anything at all. If he is found guilty, then he should pay the full consequences. All I'm saying is, if he's telling you to stick to the facts, when he clearly has no idea what the real facts are, then he shouldn't be responding to you in a condescending manner. Nobody knows what happened.

I'm alright with this because Motte is not one you want to simply give away. He's a great player who can play 3rd or 4th line. Gadj and Lind are players you want to see what you have before you expose them. Those two, have shown at each level, it takes time to adjust, but they adapt and become solid contributors, just like Juolevi.

It's always subjective. As always, only time will tell. And btw, they are both more than likely going to be fantastic players, just different styles.

"Harley", that should be the Hog's nickname.

We'll see how it all plays out, but I think you're right. I've said it before, I think there are going to be 9 teams regretting not picking him. Edit: Btw, not saying there aren't other good players, but Podz is like a bull in a China shop. The main thing is to play him with the right linemates.

He definitely has that Burrows never say die attitude. But I see him as a more intimidating player capable of punishing the opposition, plus his play making skills are exceptional.

I remember a year or so ago, someone saying that Benning shouldn't be learning on the job. Well, guess what? What exactly is Green doing? AV? So many others, whether it's in the hockey world or everyday business? JB has improved. Is he perfect? Who is? The point is, as much as people want to put him under a microscope and tear him apart, he's done a pretty admirable job. Rather him than Chiarelli.

Doughty making demands (whining again)

He should be thankful he's had the life he has and made the money he has. -
I'd say, give him the best chance to make the team this upcoming season. He's part of the young core moving forward and has played very well this year in Utica. And like you've mentioned, he's not afraid to go toe-to-toe and defend himself and his teammates.

Just to reiterate, you said... "Top 3 pick would be great, would be a real shame if we suffered through this brutal year just to end up with another joulevi". So is that a joke? Why are you implying that Juolevi is a disappointment? What's the underlying connotations behind your ideas? If you don't like the guy or a Tkapuke lover, so be it, just say it. Otherwise, if you're a real fan, why don't you show some support instead of constantly throwing shade at the team/players/coaches.

I agree. The coach is NOT the captain. It's up to the coach to organize, deploy and motivate the players he is given. If he is inconsistent, then that's on him. If you go to work and do a crap job, who are you going to pass the buck to? Step up to the plate or beat it.
