Original from 1962....
The Beatles cover 1963....
I've always like Pearl Jam's cover best... the one recorded live in 1999 for the album No Boundaries: A Benefit for the Kosovar Refugees.
Yeppers it was.....made me a Ken Wahl fan for life, that movie did!
I've always liked The Warriors, too. And Lords of Flatbush - hello, Sly Stallone, Henry Winkler, Perry King of 1974
That would be The Wanderers and The Ducky Boys (who were actually a very real gang) were the ones to interrupt the match .....a movie favourite regardless of the fact it would never win an Academy award.
Don't hate me.... this earworm attacked today......now get it out of YOUR heads!
From Medicine Hat, Alberta........Garry Lee and The Showdown
Now seriously, who doesn't remember singing this under your breath in front of your parents?
Terry Bush wrote this song as the theme song for Littlest Hobo (and who doesn’t remember THAT gem?)..... the show ran its course and he went back to writing jingles. Almost 20 years later, the co-writer of the song contacted him to say the song was being used in a bank advert in Britain. The song took off and was covered by other bands and was sung in pubs at closing time. In 2011, it was used in another British advert and went to number 1 on the country charts for both iTunes and Amazon in the U.K. Who’da thunk it, eh?
