  1. Thank you for posting this... Dunrobin's Gone is truly one of my most favourite songs from 'back then'! I honestly thought nobody else remembered Brave Belt but me!
  2. Because sometimes on a Sunday, you just gotta blow the cobwebs out.... at top volume!
  3. I shall have to amend my list as my #20 selection passed away today... so I shall swap out Pele for (is wishful thinking allowed as reason for choice? ).... Piers Morgan!! So the new list is: Robert Wagner Tony Bennett Dick Van Dyke Bob Barker Dionne Warwick Dame Patricia Routledge Jane Goodall Jean Chrétien Alice Munro Donald Trump Dr. Ruth Westheimer June Lockhart Frankie Valli Don Cherry Yoko Ono Burt Bacharach Jim Pattison Johnny Mathis Cormac McCarthy Piers Morgan
  4. Yet another artist gone who had A LOT of playtime on my life-soundtrack.... from the Great Speckled Bird to Cowboyography... I Outgrew The Wagon to All The Good'Uns and all the albums in between, there's not been a time in my life, it seems, when Ian Tyson hasn't been present. I'm not sure if it's an age thing or what...but it seems a number of us are hitting an age where a lot of our favourite musical artists are transitioning to music studios up yonder..... I don't think I could ever pick just ONE favourite to share.... Ian's body of music was HUGE.... his solo career and his songs recorded with Sylvia.... RIP Ian.... and thank you for the legacy of your music! And also for introducing new generations of listeners to what true 'Cowboy' music sounds like along with all the folk greats! And so.... Summer Wages.... the song that got played in the car on every summer vacation trip to Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast.... And the original, with Sylvia....

  6. Shared with me by my love who sounds very much like Chris Rea when he sings... thank you, my Mr. T7! And to think it all renewed with a mention of Mr Bojangles in a status update! (This song has a rather long guitar intro) And this one that has lodged in my soul and is now shared back to Mr. T7....I am truly the luckiest woman on the planet!
  7. I always thought Christine McVie was 1000 times better than Stevie Nicks.... I think I'm still in a wee bit of shock at today's news...Christine McVie's vocals were a huge part of the soundtrack of a certain time of my life.. The album and the song that will forever celebrate Christine McVie's time in my life... RIP and thank you for all the great memories your music brings back...
