Looking at the points per game players EP is now passing is very exciting. Not to mention the Sedins did it on the back of each other. EP has done it alone. And when The Swedish hockey people said it was his line mates. EP started to pick up on the second line where he left off. Kid is not going to be denied. Havn't seen a more dangerous one timer since Pavel Bure. Man can he shoot, and that's scary because he is an awesome set up guy.
-
Love this kid. 2 secondary assists. The only thing I don't like about calling an assist a secondary. Is Boeser has two secondary assists and they we're totally the reason the Canucks scored.
-
still think its such a poor comparison. Daniel until the concussion was a goal scorer. And they were point for point probably because Daniel buried so many chances. After the concussion it was Daniel to henrick to goal scorer not named Sedin.
-
Yeh what a bust Daniel was.
-
The players he is passing their stats translated. So expect more from Elias.
-
still producing. That's gotta make Swedish Hockey personal look bad. Didn't they say he was a product of who he was playing with? Rock on Petterson.
-
I am betting he will be a good NHL player in the future. Because of his size it takes him a little more time to adapt and feel comfortable playing. It will get easier when he gets his feet wet at any level he plays at. He won't come out guns a blazing but will start putting up solid points when he gains a level of comfort. Expect 15 to 20 games in AHL before we see that about him.
-
Got to love it. Showed speed. And he showed strength on his feet to force the wrap around. And he scores on the one timer from the same spot time and time again. The Goalie knows where he is shooting and still can't stop it. He will make a impact in the NHL even if he was to come over right now. Got to love Sweden leaving this much talent at home. Saying he has been the benefactor of others? Now he is putting up point s with different players. I watched the Junior games and I thought they didn't want EP to succeed. I know that's unlikely but something didn't feel right. Nylander played brutal and you seldom hear any criticism his way. Must be politics. Maybe Sweden has a Leafs connection.

I like how quiet it is. Allows me to get the beer attendants attention.
-
He is still pretty young and will be a point per game player as this team gets deeper.

Yeh the new system is for the players who are often spoiled %$$#. Teams should own their rights until they trade them away. Losing players to free agency should have a cost of a draft pick based on Salary. How many players walked away from teams needing assets to rebuild. ie Mats Sundin. Vancouver offers him ridiculous money they should have had to give up a 2nd round asset. It would keep it honest anyways. Teams overpay to build in free agency and teams suffer just as bad when they lose players.

Until they give scouting a rating as a whole its a crap shoot. I would like to see how often a player ranked 4th turns out to be 4th. Like 60% or whatever. NHL central scouting if it is viable. Lets say 90 % of the time the top pick goes to be a top player. And by 9th or 10th its say 50%. The percent should be beside the rating for both North American and Euro players. I really think the NHL GM's feel the same. Their scouting is what they go by.

Reminds me a lot of a guy named Mark Messiah. Bo is the kind of center defensemen will not like in a play-off series. Wait till he matures. He will be a top 10 center and that's cool because EP will be a number 1 center.
-
He said are you kidding me because your logic makes it sound like Petterson wasn't and isn't better than many other players selected that's all. You come off sounding like Its solid proof EP is not as good as we think and know he is. In a tournament that's short teams tend to go with proven line combinations over skill. And because of Pettersons very young age he hasn't developed that yet. And because Sweden is a weaker team they can't afford the luxury of EP who is now centering a brand new line since the Olympics. And EP is also a very young player and in years to come he will not only be invited but will probably be groomed as a leader. If you want proof how good EP is just look at the standings in the League he is playing in. The solid steel of his draft year.
-
That's because players like Tkachuk are easily obtainable, and hurt teams chances in play-off series.
-
I expect him to be a top player. In the thick of the scoring race in the NHL. He is a complete player when you throw how he passes in. And unlike many players that pass that well he shoots really well.
-
They have left two spots. He will be there. So don't be too confused.
-
You make a great point. A 100 point player is 100 point player regardless of how he achieves that. EP has the potential to lead the NHL soon. That will bother the fans of other teams that have an account on cdc.

In his dreams. That's a very flattering number. I met Manny and he isn't 220
-
Doesn't always come down to size. ie..Manny Malholtra

Sweden has no room for sniping. What an embarrassment to Swedish hockey. LOL

Trading Tanev would be stupid. He is young and valuable. Players need to learn from pros. Just look at Edmonton. The picks we get today will be tomorrows discounts. If we keep Tanev his style he will be a great shutdown defenseman until 34 ish maybe 36. |No point having top guns with out stud defensemen. ie Willie Mitchell. Back to Edmonton. Maybe their struggles have a lot to do with not knowing how to win. Something that might not change in the near future. All the players have been brought up with a losing culture that lacked structure. Seems like the same kind of hockey in Edmonton as 4 years ago. Blow a team out of the building followed by 3 or 4 loses. We have to be careful not to deplete our team of Veterns just to stockpile young players. Next year we could have a few younger forwards in our line-up. Then we will need the Gudbranson's and Tanevs , to allow growth and stability for EP, BB, and others. I swear our Media want us to follow Edmontons model because they are not Canucks fans. If JB is fired I also think a few media personal should be fired also. Its not like they report hockey anymore, they try to sound like smart Hockey people and that they know better. Take Tony Gallegar quick to point out all JB's mistakes, How about posting some of his mistakes, Different ballgame.

All in a split second. That's reactive talent at its best.
-
Don't care if he goes to the Olympics, Just want to see him in Vancouver healthy.
-
And at times he looked sluggish and was not given much ice time. Makes sense if he wasn't 100 percent. But still performed very well.
