    Brendan Gaunce | C/LW

You don't think Virtanen plays with an edge? Granted he doesn't fight a lot but he is far more aggressive than Gaunce and I've never seen Jake back down from anyone.
  2. Isn't Eriksson on a limited no trade contract? If so, he can't be waived.
  3. I have noticed that also (poor first passes from the dmen). If someone could actually hit him on the fly, watchout.
  4. I struggle with thinking RB will ever be an NHL player for any kind of longevity. He kind of reminds me of Kyle Wellwood. He is to slow and at 23 or 24 years old, will he ever be able to improve enough to make it. He just doesn't seem to have the work ethic.
  5. As far as Jake is concerned, I love how he has been playing. Last night, I was amazed at how he was able to beat defenders wide even without a full head of steam flying up the side from his own end. Still has a few too many giveaways but still doing well. You can see defenders pulling up to avoid his hits.
  6. I don't always like the way some may colorfully describe their opinions or even some of their opinions all together but why block people. In the end of the day they are just words and opinions. You have to be able to deal with people who disagree with you in all areas of life in order to survive. if you don't, life will get pretty rough. Personally, I don't like hearing other people (who I agree with) telling me what my detractors say about what I think: I like to hear it straight from the horses mouth. My thoughts , for what its worth.
  7. We have Baer, Archie, Leipsic, Gaunce and JG on his way on the left side as well a JD. I don't think there is room for him.
  8. I was at the Edmonton at University when Hextall chopped him down in front of the the net in th Stanley Cup Finals in the 80's. Hated the Oilers but was at the game.
  9. Definitly a old Catholic thing. Still some zelots out there doing it today.
  10. How did Kole do last night against the Giants?
  11. I saw the play as well and the puck was also on edge. He should have barried it but I can see why he missed it as well.
  12. As far as last night is concerned, the whole team seems to not play sharp after a day off. Props to Jake though for coming out in the 3rd and hittiing everything in sight and doing his best to wake up the rest of the team.
  13. I don't think he is talking about the facts presented as much as the crass language used around the facts.
  14. I gota new Canucks sweater for Christmas this year and have been wondering what number to put on it and after the last 15 or 20 games I think I will be going with #18.
  15. I think you are right about one more year in Utica for Brisebois & Chafield and we may see them the next year.
  16. I have been suprised at his physicality. He doesn't shy away from the corners at all. Also he is starting to develop the offensive side to his game. He is a quick skater with good balence as well. I would consider him one of our best D prospects.
  17. How about a modern day Ulf Samualsson.
  18. I was watching the Comets games last night and tonight and have been very impressed with GB. As he puts on a little muscle I think he could be a #2 or #3 defenseman. He may even be ready next year for some NHL games.
  19. We need to remember that kids coming out of college are 20 or 21. Pettersson is doing what he is doing at 18 and 19 years old in an adult league. It seems like a bigger deal that he is doing it at such a young age.
  20. Thanks, I just don't know as much about the NCAA system and how it all works.
  21. I don't know too much about the NCAA. Realistically, when will AG's season end and will we see him in some games up here or will it be straight to the AHL this season?
  22. That hit was unbelievable for a guy of 5' 10" even in Junior.
  23. I think he is holding a place for JG. No more than a 1 year deal.

    Olli Juolevi | #48 | D

Could you imagine how good Orr would have been in our day considering the advances in equipment, diet, training, and the way the game is played.
