Does anyone know when BG is due back?
  3. Aside from McDavid, who in the NHL is faster?
  4. Cody's problems were health related. He had some kind of rare disease.
  5. Would the Canucks ask HS to come back as a center but not sign DS?
  6. I have a lot of respect for Naslund. In his last season he played in NYC he scored 24 or 25 goals. He said he retired before he became a drag on his team. Even Don Cherry praised him for it. Maybe the Sedin's should talk to him about when to retire.
  7. The way players cross over and aa plays develope he can go to his off side so I don't Think it makes a difference offensively but defensively he is better on the right.
  8. It was amazing how fast Jake was in the skills comp.
  9. Archie was hurt for a stretch and was unavailible.
  10. And I have to echo that he has to make it with that name alone.
  11. Jack is good friends with Demko. I would think that they would love to play together.
  12. I really like watching Kole play. He reminds me of a more skilled Burrows. Is there any chance he makes the Canucks next year?
  13. I really don't like to point out people's short comings but you and and a few othes don't even sound like Canucks fan. I have never known a person that negative about a team that you claim to love.

I am not overly optimistic about BG. He doesn't seem to have any intensity for a guy 6' 2", 217 lb. His plus minus is 0 & 5 points (4 goals & 1 assist). He was also a first round pick. Compare him to Jake who is 6' 1" & 213 lb. His Plus minus is -2 and has 12 points (6 goals & 6 assists). He is biger than Jake and he never seems to use his size at all. He seems like a nice fellow but I am not convinced he is as good as some make him out to be.
  15. Has anyone ever noticed Markus Naslund's first 3 or 4 years was uneventfull. It wasn't until his second season in Vancouver that we start to see him turn it around. I have heard Naslund say that he credits Messier as the one that really helpped him. I think this was the best thing Messier did in Vancouver. This would be a good example of a player taking a little longer time to come into his own. I see Jake on a simular path. Jake is not the first player to be a late bloomer.
  16. Jake didn't make Jim & Trevor pick him at 6h overalll. You can't blame Jake for that. When we took him my thoughts were that he would probably be at best a 20 goal scorer who would bring other things like physical play and speed with a descent shot. I am on the "be patient" team as I think he is maybe a bit of a late bloomer. I also have a tough time giving up on a 21 year old kid. I have confidence in Greener and his working with Jake. Also, someone mentioned that Jake has 3 seasons of gifted ice time with the Canucks. He has only played 2 seasons in the NHL and 1 in the AHL.
  17. I maybe wrong but I don't recall seeing a lot of fighting in the SHL. I was hoping he would be Utica next year.
  18. Is there any chance EP plays in Utica this year? I think it might be interesting to see what he can do there at the end of the regular season.
  19. 1000 pages on one player. This must be some kind of record for most discusion groups. All I can say is WOW.
  20. Dude, say what you really think.
  21. Jake is not our main problem. His Defensive game is not bad. His +\- is better than the majority of the team. Also, the best players in the league are not going to play 82 games perfectly every night. This kid just can't seem to catch a break in this market.
  22. They are both wingers but Jonah is a left winger and Jake is a right winger. Maybe they both should flank Pettersson.
