  1. What about Gadjovich, Gaudette and Virts. Could sure stur the pot regularly night after night.
  2. Is there a chance Kole and Jonah shock everyone and make the team next year? Considering the kind of players they are I think if they improve thier foot speed both could suprise and make the team right out of the shoot.
  3. I am an Inspector Gadget fan and I look forward to seeing him in a Nuck's Uniform one day down the road but I do have to admitt his lack of speed is a concern.
  4. Where is Kole Lind? I think a line of Gaudette, with Lind and Virtanen on the wings may look good in the future.
  5. Do you think he would make a good PKer? I think that his skating would give him some great chances to become a threat scoring shorthanded.
  6. Jake is a +4 and has 4 goals. There are others like Granny and Gags who are on the pp. Jake seems to be doing as well as they are. I think he deserves a shot as much as anyone else.
  7. I am suprised that Jake seems to be held to a higher standard than everyone else, There are other, older players out there playing worse than JV but no one gives them a hard time with the excessive critisism that seems to still float Jakes way when he has an off night. Also, he can't go balls to the wall every shift and every game. He will have bad nights like everyone else. Jake just seems to catch it from us a lot more for, a lot less, than other players. I like what I've seen of Jake so far this year. One other thing, Jake is a lot better defensively than he get credit for. I do believe he is +4 so far this season. I know some would like to see him hit more and that would be fine, as long as doing so doesn't make him less effective defensively.
  8. I was looking at the stats page on the Canucks page and noticed that JV is a +3 and HS & DS are both -5. Even though the twins get extra ice time, JV is the better defensive player and has better +/- than other players as well but he doesn't get the opportunity to play special teams assignments. I think JV would make a great PK guy and with his speed be a shorthanded threat. Also, he would be nice to see him in front of the net or maybe on the point on the 2nd PP unit.
  9. Jake isn't a bad defensive player. I think he is +2 so far this year and has been using his speed effectively in his backchecking. I would like to see him with some speedier line mates. but the Twins mentoring him as a line mate could be real good good for him this year as well. I've been watching some Comets games and would like to see the Canucks bring up Goldy play on a line with Jake.
  10. I am going to roll the dice and say Kole Lind shocks everyone and makes the team.
  11. Man, did the team look slow last night. I think they need to put Jake back in and play him with some quicker skaters.
  12. Jake seems to be doing well in front of the net and I think he would be an upgrade as a net front presence on the powerplay. I would not mind seeing him get some time on the PK as well. Maybe on the last pairing to use his speed as a shorthanded goal scoring threat.
  13. I thought the team looked slow tonight. They really missed Jake's speed tonight. I would like to see Jake play with Bo & Baer. They have had some success in the past and they all play with speed as well.
  14. I have been thinking that Kole could be a more natural scorer than even Brock. I am not a big fan of comparing players development as each player is different but he seems to be a more talented version of Alex Burrows.
  15. Is it possible that Lind becomes even better than what people think Brock is going to be? I am thinking that if he continues to progress we could see him in Vancouver sooner than later. I like how he seems to play with a bit of an edge as well.
  16. Green sure is sneaky. He had everyone thinking Jake was sitting but announces today he is in. I like the intrigue.
  17. On a side note I remember Howie Meaker Saying, He can't skate, he can't shoot and he can't score but boy can he play hockey. This statement just gave me a flash back to my childhood and watching the Howie Meaker Hockey School and Peter Puck.
  18. I think Jake is going to surprise us and get around 22 goal and maybe 25 assists.Maybe he has a bit of a slump in early Feb. but playing solid all year long.
  19. Good on Jake. He worked hard and has made the team. Looking forward to watching him and Brock establish themselves in the NHL this year.
  20. I don't know but this sounds a bit cynical.
  21. What about his last 2 games? Both had strong NHL representation and he scored in both and was responsible in his own end. What more can he do to prove he belongs. He didn't just out perform the young guys on the team.
  22. I don't think that they can send Jake down when they have told there young guys that if they earn the right to play they will make room for them. They will lose credibility. Jake has out performed Brock when you consider their 200 foot game.
  23. Is Brock good enough defensively to play with the Sedin's? Daniel & Henrik need a faster defensively responsible winger. I think Brock maybe better with Bo & Baer would be the better line for him.
  24. He is a big man but doesn't seem to play that way when in the NHL. Is it possible that he just isn't fast enough to play like he does in the AHL?
  25. I think I would rather keep Brock and Jake over the PTO's. I have like seeing both of them doing so well.
