I’ll miss Teo but I understand the trade. You get a great bullpen arm with lots of control left and a prospect that management have liked for years. It does seem a bit low value wise but gaining cap flexibility is also the add in this deal. Good bullpen arms are getting 12 mill a year now and after arb Swanson is going to cost like 1.5 million. So losing Teo who was in his last year of control is set to make 14 million and Tapia set to make 6 million (definitely not worth that) means the team has about 19 million to find a replacement. An obvious left handed bat is much needed! So Nimmo, Conforto, Bellinger and Yoshida are definitely on the radar as replacements. Honesty if Conforto signs a 1 year deal I kinda like that then give him the QO (obviously if he proves to be worth a big contract) and collect the pick like what we did with Marcus Semien.
