  1. I mean there’s a chance this guy isn’t even good enough to crack their roster this year! Which isn’t the end of the world I get but trading a 1rst round pick for a 22 year old prospect you’d hope he’d factor into your top 6 dmen immediately. Getting old for more AHL seasoning.
  2. Enough space yet to offer sheet Nic Hague?
  3. Just heard he was weighed soaking wet with a backpack full of crystals he brought as gifts for his new teammates seeking good luck!
  4. He’s gonna be getting something like 8 years 6.25 mill a year. Calling it!
  5. To all the people that thought he’d take a discount lol. He’s already been one of the most underpaid guys in the league. Giving them MVP seasons for 6.25 mill a year already. They got their discount he’s earned his money. Why would he take less when everybody else on the team is cashing in.
  6. Hoglander doesn’t require waivers this would be the idea of them stashing him or waiving a more expensive bottom 6 plug (like Dickinson) as it was 2 players for 1. The savings is the difference in salary between Hague and Dermott which could be something like 1.5-2 mill savings. Then I don’t know how attached they are to a guy like William Carrier on the 4th line but he makes 1.5 maybe he could be replaced by Hoglander which would save 600k. After all the moves considered they’re actually saving something like 2-2.5 mill.
  7. Nic Hague is still unsigned and they’re hurting for cap space. Hoglander burst onto the scenes but is now looking like he’s being penciled into our 4th line. While his hustle I’m sure he’ll do okay but people will complain when he’s not producing while getting 8 minutes a game with Lazar and whomever else we put on that 4th line. To Vancouver - Nic Hague (bridge deal around 2.75-3.25) To Vegas - Hoglander, Dermott and a 3rd round pick Waive Dickinson to create a little more cap space and replace him with a low salary player. OEL Hughes Hague Myers Rathbone Schenn Poolman
  8. I think for him to be of value to his contract he needs to be a viable bottom 6 Center. Management added even more wingers to the mix so much so that it’s hard to see him earning a spot on the wing. Hopefully Dickinson put in a ton of work in the off-season to improve his faceoff skills.
  9. Obviously kick the tires. It’s a RHD that has top 4 upside. At the moment though I’d say he’s an undersized bottom pairing/7th dman. Now we have Hughes and Rathbone who I think are both better on the roster already so I’m not too thrilled on the idea of adding another small guy on the backend. But if they’re basically giving him away for a 3rd rounder or less I’d take a flyer. But I honestly wouldn’t even give up a 2nd rounder for him.
  10. Too small for our lineup. Already have Hughes and Rathbone coming in! I know Lundkvist is a RHD but he’s tracking more like a bottom pairing guy in the NHL and if that’s what he is I’d rather a guy with a bit more size. Especially if we’re rolling out a d corps with both Hughes and Rathbone in it.
  11. Is it 7 more seasons of Berrios? My god he’s just been awful as soon as he signed his extension lol
  12. Most likely this but if Kadri signs somewhere else! Fingers crossed this happens because they’d probably cycle back to Miller!
  13. They’ll trade him in a year anyway. A Vegas long term contract agreement….words that just don’t really go together.
  14. Well he hasn’t signed anything yet. Kadri could still sign for term and money. This deal whatever it could be will definitely be on his mind but so will the Huberdeau deal from Calgary.
  15. Why is this thread at the top isn’t it too early to be re-signing Poolman to the 8 year contract extension?
  16. Honestly I’m a little worried now that Calgary just trying to get people to stay in Calgary gave Huberdeau an 8 year extension. We need Kadri to not to sign with the Islanders because a trade around Pulock and Miller would be great!
  17. Easy yes for me which means it’s probably a no from the Jets!
  18. Well Bratts agent sucks. I can see this Swede being unhappy with his treatment. He might want to come home to Sweden 2.0 Vancouver in a couple years.
  19. Well I think those guys were the dream to get rid of but who really wants those assets while also giving no salary back especially with comparable or better guys through free agency with a chance at a nicer contract term.
  20. I think it’s because management is having a tough time moving salary out where they feel we’re getting good value on our players. Teams are weaponizing cap space and when Vegas is giving away Pacioretty for free and Columbus giving away Bjorkstrand for pennies it’s hard to find value on a good player like Garland without taking any cap back.
  21. No gm wants to be the bad guy on an offersheet. NYR wouldn’t have been able to match a 2nd rounder compensation offer and this guy does still have good potential. Maybe Seattle is waiting to steal Lafreniere.
