  1. Don’t think they’d be in the market for Myers after recently overpaying for Gudbranson but I could see them being interested in JT Miller especially with his 1 cheap year before his extension. nvm I thought Voraceks 8.25 mill was coming off the books and it’d be an easy fit. They’d have some complications to juggle the cap and make it work.
  2. I would wager more than both those guys clearing cap space for Klingberg or a small 1 year deal on an available UFA like Subban before trading for both Severson or Murphy.
  3. Gonna have to pay somebody to take Gudbranson to clear the cap space needed!
  4. Yeah this is an overpay! I’d have let him walk and spent a little more for Nino!
  5. If he really is then he’d be signing at a discount. Otherwise why would we clear cap space to be the top buyers. Should be giving management his pitch on why they should bring him in.
  6. Marino is overrated and wasn’t worth the ask from what they wanted from the Canucks.
  7. That doesn’t make any sense Kuzmenko signed first. Weeks before free agency. Any deal lined up with Mikheyev before Kuzmenko is tampering. I’m sure all the agents know the few teams that are extremely interested before free agency starts but when Kuzmenko signed Mikheyev was no sure thing. Would be the dumbest deciding factor for Kuzmenko to choose Vancouver because he knew that we had interest in Mikheyev.
  8. These are our projected lines on nhlnumbers.com Pettersson Miller Boeser Garland Horvat Kuzmenko Podkolzin Dickinson (lol) Mikheyev Pearson Lazar Hoglander Even if Kuzmenko can’t hold down a top 6 spot one of Podkolzin, Pearson or Hoglander could. The winger depth is almost too deep and I know you can never be too deep but it’s just sooo much stronger than our defensive depth or the Center depth. Really instead of Mikheyev they should have brought in Marino for cheap or Rodriguez for the 3rd line center spot.
  9. Not adding Mikheyev to our organizational strength the winger group would have been enough cap to make something like this happen in our favour.
  10. I don’t think 3rd line is asking too much from Hoglander or Pearson. Bringing in both Mikheyev and Kuzmenko pushes both guys down to the 4th line while effectively taking up our last 5 million in cap for yet another winger. I like Mikheyev and said mid season last year he’d be a sneaky good add in the off-season. It’s just that money looking at our roster right now could have been spent more wisely.
  11. I like Mikheyev but feel our management tried creating too much competition for the winger position as it stands you now have Pearson and Hoglander on the 4th line! Pitts just gave away Marino in a deal where NJD seemed to get him a little bit cheaper than expected by weaponizing cap space. We already signed Kuzmenko adding another potential top 6 winger into a crowded room for internal competition. I feel like management screwed up by divulging into a deal with Mikheyev when our real problem is defence. Should have been us fleecing Pitts for Marino.
  12. The closest comparable I can think is Rathbone and a 3rd rounder. Pitts obviously had the Petry trade in mind and needed to clear cap space to make it happen.
  13. Pitts better stop making trades today they keep losing lol! Taking on Petry who didn’t look good last year for his ages 35,36 and 37 seasons at 6.25 million a year lol. Bad move for the Pens.
  14. Already guy turns 24 next season and spent time in the AHL this year. Guys a bottom 6 player maybe even a fringe NHL career path at this point.
  15. JT has said he wants to be a Canuck going forward. You have to say the right things and they might even be true. However at the end of the day your agent is going to ask for whatever he thinks your worth plus a little bit more.
  16. Or they’ve talked to Severson about an extension and his ask is too high for what he brings. They had an opportunity to use their cap space to deal an okay but small LHD (which are very easy to find) and a mid round pick. NJD not worried about cap space win this deal easy and they have Marino locked in for a decent cap hit.
  17. Dang our fans really chasing after Marino. I’d imagine they want Marino on their roster. I believe Severson is in the last year of his contract and they might have a good indication that he wants to test the market or just picked up his replacement for cheap. Pens looking for a cap clearing move seems like a very cheap price for a top 4 RHD.
  18. I wonder if in a day or two his ask comes down a bit. If we could find a taker for Pearson maybe we use that money for Rodriguez. They’d probably produce about the same but at least with Rodriguez he plays the Center position.
  19. I’m bored so here we go! Keeping Miller and going for a cup this year and severely shortening our window. Trade Pearson to LA for a 2nd round pick save 3.5 million in cap space. Trade Myers to Dallas for a 2nd round pick so they can replace Klingberg and save 6 million in cap space. Trade Boeser to the Pens for Marino, Poulin and a 2nd round pick save a little over 2 million here. Trade Hoglander, Dermott for Nic Hague (bridge deal around 3 million) Sign Kadri (4 years 7 million per), Rodriguez (3 years 3 million per), Steel (1 year 850k) and Pk Subban (1 year 2mill) Kadri Pettersson Podkolzin Mikeyev Miller Garland Rodriguez Horvat Kuzmenko Dickinson Lazar Steel Poulin Hughes Schenn OEL Marino Hague Subban Rathbone Poolman Demko Martin Plan the parade! I was just messing around to give something different into these boards but I kinda like this lineup lol. Definitely too much going on as no team moves this many pieces over the course of a single off-season. Anyway it’s all typed out so flame away.
  20. Marino a first and a bunch of low ceiling lottery pieces. I wouldn’t like this deal for Miller alone.
  21. Trade Myers to Dallas for picks and sign Klingberg with the opened up cap space. Only problem is I think he wants 7+ mill average.
  22. If we could trade Pearson for straight picks or a prospect. There could be money for him.
