Currently, a .607 point percentage is the playoff line. We're at .484, so we'd need to win about the next 10 games straight to have that point percentage. We're not as close to the playoff line as many are making it out to be.
That said, as Gabby has said many times, it's about being consistent over the long haul. Don't worry about winning 10 straight, worry about winning 2 out of the next 3 games and keeping that going.

Just saw a comments on twitter, where someone said JP Barry mentioned Petey is looking for term and 10+M per season. Am I in the minority that doesn't like those figures? He's had injury history already, so I seriously question that amount. Personally, I think a bridge under 8M should be answer, and if there is term, nothing over 9.

@mll to be fair.... there was a good chunk of the backend of last season where the team was trending in this direction. The playoff performance made me think it was just young guys being tired out at the end of the season, but I'm starting to think there may be other possibilities....

Who’s one prospect you’re really disappointed he never panned out? For me it’s Hunter Shinkaruk. Dude had sweet hands and was overall really good when he was drafted.

@canuktravella using games played might work in a lot of comparisons but not when a guy is forced to retire due to medical reasons. Calling Hodgson a bust is just flat out wrong.

I say "Lame? What's lame about Dr Dodgeball? That game is awesome!"

@Green Building I lived in Oregon for a little while (during middleschool) there was an upstairs studio for wrestling that was all mats... including the walls. We played dodgeball in there, it was incredible.

I get it BUT.... all it takes is one manchild smoking an 80lb teenage girl in the head resulting in a concussion and the school has a lawsuit on their hands.
And... before we all throw stones at 'the people who would do that'... even the best of us would - at the very least - look at the options if one our kids got hurt as the result of something that was preventable in a gym class. I'd like to think I'm one of the ones who would be reasonable and fair but the very fact that I'd probably at least think it through tells me there are likely a good number who wouldn't bat an eye taking the school to town over something like that.
It's the world we live in unfortunately.... tragically there's essentially no such thing as an honest accident anymore.

@Curmudgeon that bit about his heart/wife is just blatantly untrue. Luongo and his wife were pretty involved in the community, whether she called Vancouver her full time home or not; and Lu was painfully obviously committed to this team the majority of his time here. IF his jersey wasn't going up in Florida he'd be a candidate... I say ROH.

Rumours of Benning talking to NJ.
Since we know they're selling, I wonder if Benning is not actually going after Simmonds, but rather Subban.
With say half of his salary retained, it would be a more reasonable acquisition and not as expensive as other RD's out there.
Benning has shown interest in the past.
Just a thought.
