What direction? Rebuild? It sure seems that’s the direction you want. So that means in your opinion our young core guys, even with a good supporting cast, aren’t good enough to win. That's clearly 100% wrong. Petey, Hughes, Demko, Miller, Hronek. That’s a fabulous core.

[PGT] Vancouver Canucks at St. Louis Blues | Mar. 28, 2023

We got a great young right shot #2 D. We gave up the projected 18-23 pick. That’s a friggin’ steal. And all it really cost us was the elephant in the room. -
Is the Current Canuck Defence Playoff Team Quality? (My Analysis)

This exactly. Any D corps with Hughes and Hronek is going to be excellent. Those two create a fantastic top four. -
[GDT] Around the NHL | March/April (26-01) 2023

No points (again) for Bo. But he did do the “little things” to help in a 2-1 SO win. That pick we used to get Hronek (high end, right shot, younger, #2 D) is looking like it’s going to be 18-22. That’s a friggin’ steal! -

Hronek, Bear, Juulsson, Burroughs, Woo. Oh, and Chaos Giraffe. -
[Proposal] Bye Bye to Myers, Garland and Boeser

The buyout is the sure way to handle OEL. It’s iffy for him to come back and play even in a bottom pairing role. If he does that’s great. But if he ends up in the press box then we are stuck. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Akito Hirose

I’m thinking he gets to compete for a spot. -
JR already said on several occasions he wasn’t a fan of Boudreau’s coaching. Seravelli reported that JR wanted to move on from Bruce last summer but our owner refused. So our owner does still poke his nose into hockey ops. But I’m hoping he’s learning that JR knows what’s best, especially after the terrible coaching of BB this season.

Canucks to celebrate Pride Night on Friday vs. Flames

So if a person is a bigot, like Reimer and the Staal brothers, it’s okay because their bigotry is based in religion? -

Slugingston needs to improve his feet to be an NHL player. We went after the guy who’s skating is one of his best assets. The NHL is super fast. Slow guys, like Slugingston, just don’t find success anymore. -

Boeser’s QO was a million per more than he signed for. I see us signing Bear for five years at 2 per. That’s the right allocation for a guy who can play with Hughes or on our third pairing. Buying out OEL is a must though. -

Bear gets a longer termed deal to keep his yearly cap allocation lower? 2 per x 5 years? -

Like this except we must buyout OEL. We can’t have him being a healthy scratch and that bottom pairing spot costing us 8 on the cap. -

Actually on Detroit Hronek, until he was injured, was playing the number one D. And he was playing great and leading their team to wins. After he got hurt, and Slow Mo took on the harder minutes, the Wings went into the dumpster. Hronek is the perfect 2D for us. He will anchor our second pairing for many years. We traded Bo for Hronek and that's a win 100 times our of 100. Great job by our management. -

I don't care who wins the Norris, just so long as it's not EK. Hopefully the voters choose someone else. -

And Karlsson is a huge minus. He cheats the game for offence. Hopefully the voters don't make him the Norris winner. -

Josi was well ahead with points last year and nearly got to 100. He didn’t win. -
The NEW core for the Vancouver Canucks has been revealed
Alflives replied to Elias Pettersson's topic in Canucks Talk
Your opinion is wrong. Miller will play at 70-90 points, 25-35 goals, and be a play driver for his full contract. We had to choose between old Bo and Miller to be our 2C. We made the right choice and it’s not even close. -
Is new Beau still well ahead of old Bo for points since the trade?

According to that Woodly guy on 650, by all the key goalie measures Demko is top five. And now with the club being coached properly, and Demko healthy, we are seeing him returning to that top five form. -
[rumours] Canucks NCAA & Euro FA targets
Alflives replied to Ted Lasso's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
For sure he’s trying to get the NHL contract to start this season. And there are teams offering that, but not a team he prefers. That’s likely we are no longer on his list. Same with Malinski.
