  1. Big, tough, and scores. Same reasons why he’s going to be a GREAT Canuck!
  2. Their is a need to sell tickets (through hope for a better future) though, so I can certainly see management promoting Pettersson.
  3. Yup. No “poor me” in that kid. He’s pissed, and he’s proving to the Team Canada brass, that if there is an injury, he’s the guy they should call.
  4. Once again, as all too often in recent years, our goaltending will (likely) let us down. As the pressure heats up, I see these two (foolishly chosen ahead of our guy) melting. Big mistake. Most likely it was back room politics.
  5. Lind was a second round pick mostly because he still needs to mature, and develop. Glass getting cut is no surprise to me. I’m not a fan of his being a difference maker.
  6. We need to spend more money, and bring in a top notch midfielder to drive the play, and a super goal scorer. We used to have a great little goal scorer, but didn't pay him. (I forgot his name:( When we won back in the 70's we had Trevor Wymark and King Kevin Hector. Heck we had Alan Ball too. Sure our guys were old, and in their declining years, but they were still better than the NA guys.
  7. These guys are all coming soon. But sticking with the guys we have (minus Bo for now) will surely drop us down to a certain top five pick. We need more young D.
  8. Good point. Keep Gaunce. I’m pointing out that Gaunce does have value.
  9. That’s him! Big guy, with scorers hands, who are tough enough to get to the hard areas, can become “slot machines”.
  10. Who was the guy that scored a million goals in Buffalo, and then did the same (as an old guy) for Tampa when they won their cup. I remember he wasn’t the best skater, but the guy was fabulous around the net. He was big too.
  11. This is kind of why I thought Gaunce would be a better fit on a high scoring team. I think a team like the Islanders could use him. His lack of scoring wouldn’t be noticed so much there. Yet, he’s still a really solid fourth liner, and PK guy, who will take on the hard minutes. I do believe the right team would give up something pretty good for Gaunce. Those responsible fourth line PK guys, who are young and cheap have value. I would only trade him though, if the return was an equally young guy, who has top six skill, but is stalled in his development. Maybe a Baer or Granny kind of guy?
  12. Sounds like something "fishy" is going on there to me. He's too old.
  13. I remember the Twins looking super young when they were first drafted. Even when they arrived here they were still too light really to be consistent. Yet, you could still see glimpses of their greatness. Pettersson is going to be a great player for us. It's only going to take him a while to mature.
  14. Maybe on a really deep team, Gaunce scores? I just think he's a really solid player, who's lack of scoring stands out on our team, because we generally lack scoring.
  15. I really like Gaunce, and think he can be a solid 4th line NHL player. I just wonder if he would be a better fit on a Cap strapped more competitive team? He could play 10 minutes every game, PK, and not hurt his team, allowing their stars rest. Then Gaunce's clear lack of offence wouldn't be noticed.
  16. Heard about this listening to late night Fox sports radio: http://money.cnn.com/2017/12/12/media/nfl-network-sexual-harassment-marshall-faulk-warren-sapp/index.html Accusations of sexual harassment have already rocked politics, entertainment and media. Now a raft of sports stars have been hit with similar allegations. The guy on Fox were really lambasting the NFL station's people for this stuff. I wonder if more women will come forward now the first one has?
  17. If we are patient, and LUCKY, we could have another Dahlin too:)
  18. Wow! That’s a shocking stat. Does Chelsea pound him with big backs or something? He’s so good on set pieces, I thought he would have at least one goal.
  19. Well, Philly is done. Who is the favourite in the NFC now?
  20. Lots of pretty colours! please EXPLAIN what it means? Is Boeser doing well compared to the league?
  21. I'm saying from draft day, this kid is the super star we need to put us into the top tier of the league.
  22. He could be one of our bottom six guys for the next 10 years, and for a fair Cap dollar too. Although, when he becomes a UFA, likely some team will offer him more than we would be willing to pay. But until that time, he's a keeper for sure.
  23. If the guys don’t have any legs again in the first period, maybe TG starts doing some line juggling. Granny scored 19 with a bad wrist. I thought him playing with more skilled players (Boeser and Goldy) might get him going again?
