  1. I'm thinking Baer is gone after the 2017/2018 season, maybe sooner. We have much younger, and more impactful players coming up soon (Lind, Petersson, Dahlen, Gaudette, and Goldobin). There will be no spot for Baer.
  2. I heard 5 interceptions in the first half. Why the change, when Taylor was doing okay? Makes zero sense.
  3. Agree totally. Baer is likely not to be here, when our team's rebuild is complete, so why give him top line minutes with Bo and Brock? Develop Jake.
  4. Good point. Play him even more.
  5. You are right. I first read your comment as "go into [BARS]". Absolutely! We should be as big, mean, nasty, and skilled as possible.
  6. Corridor is not a Cup guy, but neither is Edler. If he is claimed, oh well. We slip a bit further in the standings, and get better odds in the draft lottery.
  7. Send him to ride busses in Utica then, much like other teams have done with their overpaid, and underwhelming players. Wade Redden comes to mind.
  8. Seattle’s window is slammed shut, nailed, glued, and sealed. They are not really very good anymore, even with Sherman and Chancellor.
  9. We all love the Twins. Maybe it’s best to keep them together, and let their poor play help us slip to some really good draft lottery odds? It’s most likely their final season anyway.
  10. With Gads coming along to be that needed top nine PF, does that mean JB could trade Jake?
  11. The Twins are (sadly) a nightmare defensively no matter who their line-mate is now. The Twins are old, slow, and soft. They used to play hard nosed, and control the play, taking hits, and keeping possession. It’s rather sad now, how they play, but they are our HHOF guys.
  12. Watching funeral procession for officer Davidson.

seeing all the police officers in procession of honor makes me come to tears with pride.  We are a great nation with many freedoms, which our police keeps us safe to enjoy.

I live in abby just down the street from the procession.  it was really amazing to see everyone honor this great policeman who did a lot for our community/

It was an incredible outpouring of love and respect for a peace officer who lost his life protecting the public. I was told that there were approximately 12,000 First Responders, Law Enforcement members, Border Patrol officers, British police officers, Prison Guards etc that marched in that procession today...What an amazing honour was paid Constable John Davidson though I'm sure his family and fellow officers would have much preferred to have him back with them, instead.
I have lived that life within the law enforcement community (as family) not knowing if a partner will come home after shift end and it truly is a brotherhood and sisterhood when something happens. Not only among the officers themselves but with the families as well. When one of 'our own' goes down, that local 'family' becomes a national and global family with law enforcement and first responders everywhere. I was filled with pride and grief today.....pride that John Davidson was so well-loved and respected not only with his family but with his peers and the community as well..... grief that such a life was lost so senselessly and unnecessarily ....he still had much left to do. RIP John Davidson.... gone 10-7....

  13. Exactly. Suffer for a couple more seasons to have a great team for the following 10. It's those TDL trades that can really make the difference too. First, they make our current team weaker, and get us a better draft lottery %. Plus, down the road, those added draft picks give us more depth in our young players, who will push each other for spots.
  14. I like Hutton. He has offensive skills, and size. Plus he's a young dman, with lots of upside. I see Granlund as certainly expendable, and not part of a future Cup team. To me, it depends on the return picks coming back, whether the player is traded. For Hutton, I don't see a team offering the return pick needed to replace his potential. For Granny, I would accept any picks 3rd round and higher.
  15. How about Jake stays up, and we focus on developing his game by rewarding his good plays with moving up the line-up? Maybe Green, and WD before him, don't understand Jake, and are hurting his development with putative stuff? Jake is, arguably, not a thinker. Let the kid just friggin' play. Take off the bloody reins, and let him be free to use his speed, size, and naturallly aggressive nature. Play him with Loui, and let Loui play the defensive role.
  16. I don't want trade any player, who will be part of a future Cup team, regardless of their age. I do, however, want to trade all players who will not be part of a future Cup level team, and get picks in return. This, of course, is not done all at once, but over a series of seasons. Players, like the Twins, I don't think should ever be traded. All the rest of the not needed group are gonzo if a team will part with picks for them. Our only really consistent years were the ones led by the Twins, Kesler, and Edler. Players we drafted.
  17. Add to Forsberg that he played a very mean, and nasty game too. Guy was awesome!
  18. Point being a GM, who was a forward thinker, building a Cup level team in the future, and not being satisfied with mediocre. Is our GM thinking the same way?
  19. Yes, our guy looks like a special player, and I am super excited about him. What I notice though is just how friggin’ Good Peter Forsberg was. He scored points, but he also played with a nastiness too - as witnessed by his penalty minutes.
  20. That someone else was (is) more of an idiot Troll than me!
  21. I wish I could give you lots and lots of pluses. I remember the Habs got Lafleur in (kind of) that way. They already had one team's first round pick, but the Kings were tanking even better than that Hab's owned first. So the Habs traded a couple vets to the Kings to make them better. Habs got Lafleur and 5 more Cups. Kings, well they made it mediocre. Yeh! Mediocre. I get worried we are going to be the Kings of those years, and Cole t these older vets, who make us mediocre... yeh! Mediocre.
  22. What Jerry Jones said was beyond reprehensible. The is clearly (from those words) a racist person. He should absolutely get the Sterling treatment, but he won't, because he's too powerful within the NFL. Sterling was not at all so important to the NBA, nor were the Clippers.
  23. Did you hear his comments? "[your fiance] is with a black girl". Very racist and degrading. He's a lot more than just a southern blowhard.
  24. I think there are a lot of pieces of crap playing in the NFL. Some of The owners are bad too. Jerry Jones made a really racist and degrading comment recently. The guy should be forced to sell his team, much like the NBA did with that scum Clipper’s owner. The NFL is in for some lean years coming up. https://theblast.com/jerry-jones-racial-video/
  25. https://nypost.com/2017/11/17/jameis-winston-grabbed-my-crotch-uber-driver/ Sounds like this guy is back to his old university bad habits.
