  1. With corruption in some of the biggest soccer leagues in Europe, to cheating by judges in the Olympics, and referees in the NBA (questionably) involved in controlling outcomes, why should the NHL be any different? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Italian_football_scandal https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_Winter_Olympics_figure_skating_scandal https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_NBA_betting_scandal
  2. There was talk after the draft that, if Petersson was 10 - 20 pounds heavier, he should have been the first overall pick.
  3. That's good logic. But you got to be happy JB ended up with Petersson regardless, right?
  4. There are several vets playing ahead of Jake, who actually are not contributing at all. Burmistrov, Gagner, Eriksson, and (very VERY sadly) a couple of future HHOFers.
  5. Stop with the reining him in. Let him go!
  6. Totally agree. He needs to get the puck off his stick as fast as possible. He can do that by accepting he's limited with the puck. That's how he can improve
  7. My apologies. I hate the other teams, and especially their prospects. I want us to be the best, just ONCE! And I do have Trumplike hair:( Too funny! Love it!
  8. You are right in your assessment of Green's use of Guddy - very sheltered. i think JD stands for Juvenile Delinquent?
  9. If Heiskanen becomes a Canuck, he's got a shot. On another team he's a LOSER, just like all other teams' players are.
  10. Guy plays Defense, not forward. And Juiolevi is a 200 pounder. I'd be totally shocked if Hiskanen becomes anything over here. (unless he becomes a Canuck, of course.)
  11. True, but Gudbranson provides a physical presence that Gaunce doesn't. I would love to see Gaunce add physicality to his game. I think with his smart defensive play, and size, he could be a really valuable player. He could play PK, 5 on 5, and be a hard (heavy) to play against guy for sure.
  12. Isn't Heskainen rather smallish though for the heavier NHL game? I think he's like that guy we had last season, who came over from the KHL, and now is back there. What's his name? Kind of useless here.
  13. Gaunce doesn't put up any offensive numbers though.
  14. I'm not denying that. I'm pointing out we are (or should be) focusing on the building for the future - the next core so to speak. The three guys playing ahead of Jake (I'd suggest the Twins too) are not going to be here soon enough. What's the point?
  15. Please, no more Vanek, Burmistrov, and Gagner signings. i noticed JV is sitting again, while these older plugs are getting minutes. Are we really rebuilding?
  16. And not break his own stick in the process.
  17. Excellent idea Joe. Guddy allowing Pouliot to play all over the ice.
  18. Anson Carter and Trent Klatt did well with the Twins too. The Twins are just getting old. It happens to everyone.
  19. It was so exciting to see Boeser for those final few games at the end of last season. If this season goes south, it would be exciting to see Juiolevi, Pettersson, Dahlen, And Gaudette all get games at the end. I really think our team will look a lot different next season, especially the PP. Juiolevi is going to be our PP saviour.
  20. The kid is starting to put up points; almost PPG pace now. Would he be allowed back here, after his season ends there?
