  1. I see Glass as a Kyle Turris player, while Pettersson is more in the Patrick Kane type.
  2. I confess I'm not 27. In fact, I do believe the socks I have on are more than 27. It sure feels better, like a heavy burden is lifted, to confess. This is a cathartic thread.
  3. I wonder if that means Nilsson's wife is having her baby? Or did she already, and I missed the news?
  4. Your mentioning "handling" a player will play in that player's future with our team is making me think about Tryamkin.
  5. Thomas Chabot would be a fair return.
  6. Elias will play wing to start his NHL career next season. (I think he might be over here before the end of his season.) If he gains some pounds, he will move to center. If he stays light, he will be a ppg. winger. Either way, we win:) He's so very good, that he will make a number two center be a number one. He's like Patrick Kane good!
  7. Absolutely 100% agree!!!! Goldy should be up sooner, rather than later. Maybe he could give Daniel/ Gagner/Burmistrov breaks for a few games on the coming road trip? The team will be back east, so it should be able to work.
  8. We shall see over the next couple seasons. Right now Brock’s 4. Marner is a BIG MINUS player. Plus, maybe those contracts that McDavid and Eichel signed drop them down?
  9. Guddy brings out the best in his partner.
  10. I’m glad to have a topic we can agree on. Really looking forward to seeing this guy play. There was a great Japanese HR King - Sadahara Oh. If this guy could become a Ruth - Oh hitter? Wow! Ichiro, but hitting home runs! I hope he becomes a hitter, and not a pitcher, like what Ruth did.
  11. Is this guy the reincarnation of Babe Ruth? I would love if the Jays got him, but just so long as he’s over here playing is likely good enough. Really want to see how he fairs in the Big Leagues.
  12. Why not chains, the cable kind? Good on ice, snow, and bare pavement. Oh...and REUSABLE! Seriously, bus sock? What, are our buses now like dogs on hardwood?
  13. All that being said, GSP is in tough tonight. He’s old, and rusty. I don’t understand why he’s fighting again? Unless he really needs the money, why leave us (his fans) with a fight where he gets pummeled? I just hope he doesn’t get hurt too badly. Maybe if he keeps the fight on the mat he can survive? He was once a superior wrestler.
  14. Heiskanen is really light though. Big time bust potential if he can’t take the harder play in North America. Don’t care if he wins the MVP over there. We tried a Smurf last season, who put up a lot of points in Europe, and that didn’t go very well. Juiolevi is NHL size, is smart, and puts up points. Much better pick - BY FAR!
  15. Bryzgalov is a great interview.

just watched his interview during first intermission of Bruins v Golden Knights game.  Guy is funny!

"It's only game! Why you heff to be mad?!"

  16. Crap! I was very worried about him running so much. Wonder if he goes the route of RG3?
  17. Boeser is a MUCH more complete player than Marner. Marner is a BIG MINUS player, on a team with mostly plus guys. That's why he's been demoted by his coach. He needs to learn to play both sides of the puck, and to play when he doesn't have the puck.
  18. I do too, but it's only two dimensional. The plate has 17 inches of depth (front to back) the digital strike zone doesn't account for. A pitch may appear high at the front of the plate, but is a strick 17 inches further. Same for inside and outside.

    Sam Gagner | C/W

As a rebuilding team, I'd rather see JB take on bad contracts from other teams to collect more picks/prospects instead of signing risky UFA's, like Gagner
  20. I really miss watching the BIG GUY play. He was just starting to add offence to his game at the end of last season too. God, with Green's new style of encouraging the D to move up into the play, Tryamkin could certainly become that elite dman we have never had. Damn it!!!!
  21. Good point. I just worry about QB's lasting, who use their legs too much. Those guys tend to get munched, and not last. RG3 was fabulous until he got his legs damaged. Russell Wilson reminds me of Fran Tarkenton. Somehow he survives, and wins games.
  22. It's fun watching games with these young, elite QB's. I think I might take Prescott. He's more of the pocket passer, isn't he? They are all great though, that's for sure.
