  1. I see your reasoning, but Jake is pretty much our next best forward to Boeser.
  2. I don't think Rodin gets claimed, because (if he's not on the big club) he's heading home. I guess he could try the waiver wire (with the Canuck's on board) to see if another team has any interest. I really don't see it though.
  3. Agreed. No more NTC's. Even Bo didn't get one.
  4. I'm glad you see a lot of upside in Baer. I value your opinion. I really like the kid, and that would be great if he becomes the player you see.
  5. Did Alf's favourite player, THE GREAT CAM NEWTON, go through this program?
  6. I'm excited about the NHL player Lind could become too.
  7. Oh boy! If Lind turns into the next Rick Middleton I'd be VERY HAPPY
  8. Is Baer a second liner on a Cup competitive team? He's a great guy. I like him, but don't want JB to spend money or term on the guy, just before the wave of younger guys is coming up.
  9. Is he good on face-offs? Is he good enough defensively to overcome his low point totals? I like the guy, but don't think he's a long term fit. I could accept him on a cheaper deal, where he does (as you point out) play up and down the line-up as injuries occur. That's a good point.
  10. Agreed, and he will get a contract to show that. Now, when we have more of the young guys pushing into the top six, where does Granlund fit? Does he end up being an overpaid bottom six guy, negatively impacting our Cap, and ability to sign guys we really need? That's why guys like Baer and Granny are moved from coming up teams, like Calgary did with both. I just don't want JB to sign these kinds of players to longer term and big money. I'd rather they were traded for ... pretty much peanuts.
  11. Where does he fit on our team in three years, when the youth movement is in full motion? Is he an overpaid bottom six checker, or an under producing top six guy? He sounds like a tweener, and that's why Calgary let him go for (pretty much) peanuts.
  12. I heard in the games v Calgary and Edmonton the difference in NHL experience was over 1000 games, especially on the D. Olli will be better with better players on his team. We should keep him here, play him in our top six.
  13. What about playing Goldobin with the Twins, and Vanek with Bo and Boeser? Then trading Baer for a pick?
  14. I've heard comments about his fitness being an issue. Maybe he is just not athletic enough? Very few are capeable of attaining elite aerobic capacity, no matter how hard the work at it.
  15. Na. Those two are garbage compared to Brock our saviour. They should just tuck tail, and head back to Europe.
  16. If .Boeser plays the season (mostly) with the Twins, he will win the Calder.
  17. Didn't sound like anything like that in his direct quote.
  18. Does it really matter the decade, or century? People, unfortunately, can become controlled mindless drones in any time period. Look at the insanity currently occurring in the USA. The stupidity, on all sides, is quite scary.
  19. Doesn't sound like Tryamkin was very impressed with our coach's management of not only him, but other pkayers too. Plus, was his comment about our city being "dope" kind of negative?
  20. I think you're right. Biega, and (to a lesser extent) Pedan are expendable. McEneny has potential to be a top four, with offensive upside.
  21. Agreed. Arguably our two best players developed, while in the NHL.
  22. Considering his age, will he part of the next core?
  23. Is finishing between 10 and 20 ( and getting into the middle of the rounds for draft) worth inhibiting the proper development of very important prospects, who will be part of our next core?
