  1. Guy has the skills, and is still young enough, to become more than a mere placeholder.
  2. Exactly! We are getting more than one prospect in every position, which allows Benning to make some trades. Plus, as the prospects develop, they will compete for those minutes on our team.
  3. Yup. I think JB said Pettersson will be at prospects camp next week, but the heads back to Sweden for his team there.
  4. Lumme was a really good player. Didn't we call him "Stone Face"?
  5. Lind is not soft either. And that little guy is likely one tough nut. You don't play, and put up big points in the OHL, being a softy. YCF you need to define what a tough player is. Guys like Pettersson, who handle the puck a lot, need to have a certain level of toughness, don't you think? They are the ones with targets on their backs, no?
  6. The OHL is a tough league. The kid must be tough to put up big numbers there.
  7. I like the smell in the air after a refreshing rain. I don't like getting wet though; my fur clumps:(
  8. So right. Maybe Petersson was the guy Vegas wanted too? Once Vegas selected Glass, of course they're not going to say he wasn't their guy.
  9. Good point, but I was only four. I started going to games in the 60's.
  10. I remember getting the Lions back in the 60's. There were really exciting and talented players in our league right up to the mid 80's. Then the NFL starting paying more and more in salaries. Before that change in how much money a player could make down south, the league's had similar talent. Now, our league is full of guys who love the game, but they are not the quality of player like before. Still love the Lions, but wish they could pay the players more, so we could get better ones.
  11. Got caught in a blizzard, and all those "snow flakes" changed me. No, I was high on Glass too, but saw him as a tweener (2 or 3). Not a one. I don't think Vilardi is a centre at all in the NHL. Petersson is the only guy, other than the top two, with number one centre elite skills. Heck I think Petersson is more skilled than the top two guys too.
  12. I see Peterson as having the elite skill set needed to be a top flight number one centre. Vilardi and Glass belong to our competition, so I hate them now, and hope they bust. Go Canucks Go!
  13. Rather wait 4 years for an elite number one centre to mature (much like it took Henrik to develop) than have a third line guy in 1 or 2 years.
  14. With added muscle he will likely get even quicker.
  15. I think Petersson is two seasons away. He's a great pick!
  16. And he plays a hard, physical game. He looks really good, and potentially a top six guy.
  17. Rock climbers are usually wirery strong, with incredible grips. Here's hoping he's like that. Kid could be a real steal.
  18. I'm waiting to see if the Avs move out a couple guys?
  19. JB has a new young core coming along. When they all arrive in 2-4 years, we will see to what level they can compete. Will JB's group be top 10, middle 10, or bottom 10?
  20. I like our pick. The kid looks like he's got elite skill and vision. Plus he plays in the tougher areas. And he's a centre. I see him replacing Hank.
  21. Alf loves this pick! This guy is our future number one centre, and PP guy. He's a couple years away, but this guy is going to be really good. Super quick hands, and elite vision.
  22. Agreed. We need elite skill to replace Henrik, and this guy has that potential. I like the pick.
