  1. We have had only glimpses of somewhat fit Jake (when he was good) and mostly a lot of fat Jake (where he's not good). We are about to see super fit Jake, and he's going to be amazing.
  2. I once had my Cheesies stolen by a crow. I was doing my normal workout (driving my scooter to and from the market) when - on my way home - a crow swooped down making that crow sound and took my open bag of Cheesies right from my hand. I found my workout regime only made me gain weight too.
  3. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  4. It's good he's working hard, but I would HIGHLY recommend Jake keeps his head up, and eyes open when possible. He needs to make believe he's seeing the ice, so it becomes second nature. I really don't like seeing hockey players looking down at their feet.
  5. We need a team full of guys that will bleed for one another, and the crest on their fronts. I know the Sens have Karlsson, but after him they really don't have a whole heck of a lot. Yet, they went a long way because they were willing to bleed for their mates, and fight for their crest. Like you already said, let's only have guys who want to be here. Maybe the guys we draft get that feeling?
  6. And if he's planning to play in the KHL, how much training will he be doing? It seems like fitness is not a big priority in that league. I loved the big guy, but it's time to forget him. This new guy is likely a better player right now.
  7. Did Tampa make the playoffs this season?
  8. Are you sure you're under 30? This is great advice. Our military is especially needed now, with the Arctic (our territories) becoming freer of ice, and the coming conflict with Russia over its belonging to Canada.
  9. It sounds like these top teams have more picks and better scouting, selection, and development. Why don't we just over pay their scouts to come to us?
  10. Do they keep their picks, or trade them away? I'm wondering if it's better scouting, selection, and development, or (more so) having more picks?
  11. I often wondered if there was a list of players the Bruins insisted JB (Canucks) were not to draft at 24 as part of the conditions of JB's release from his contract from Boston. Maybe JB liked Pastrnak, but was not allowed to choose him?
  12. It will be Juiolevi with Gudbranson.
  13. True. But Jake has more skill, speed, size, and a better shot. We have yet to see Jake play actually fit. I think there are going to be a lot of pleasantly surprised posters when the watch fit Jake this fall.
  14. Jake has far superior skills than Brown.
  15. Awesome exchange you two. If the next war is fought with words, I want you two in our front lines:)
  16. Vey sure came across as a super nice young guy, who you want to do well. The big ice, lesser talent, and lack of fitness in the KHL should allow Vey to display his skill and do well.
  17. Agreed 1000%. I heard that one of the reasons Tryamkin gave for leaving was the unfair distribution of ice-time. Maybe Tryamkin was talking more than just about his own ice time?
  18. His use sounds a lot like what WD was putting Bo through.
  19. Look at the team's successful in the playoffs. Do you see any one way, me first, softies leading those teams? The league seems to be moving towards the 200 foot players, especially in the playoffs.
  20. Nope. Edler straight up gets us Drouin. As much as I (as a fan) like Drouin, I don't think JB wants that kind of high maintenance, one-way player. Probably if Yzerman wants to move Drouin, he will have to take back another team's problem child.
  21. I agree a team can sign boppers in the summer from the UFA crowd, but it's rare you can sign a top four Dman and a top six forward, who both can bop. Guddy already proved his worth (when not injured) with Florida. And we have been teased by a fit Jake seeing what he can do. I think both these guys are going to play serious and effective minutes for us, while providing much needed toughness to our core group.
