  1. Ottawa has the best player in the world (arguably) playing 30 minutes a night: Karlsson. We've never had anyone even close to that level on our D core. It's almost impossible to win a Cup without an elite dman.
  2. I think Jake wasn't in top shape until near the end of the season. I remember (?) Green saying Jake was working on fitness and getting his weight down even after January. Jake actually looked really good for about the final month.
  3. When Jake is in top shape he is an effective NHL player; we all witnessed that from him after the 2015/16 WJC. Alf states now Jake will be a force next season, and pot 20+ goals. Go Jake Go!!!
  4. I can't believe a poster gave you a minus rep for this prediction. It's SPOT ON. The NBA is too predictable. Has been since its start.
  5. If we draft Glass, and in four years he's playing to the level of any of those NHL comparables, we are HAPPY:)
  6. Cerebral 200 ft. Pass first, Right shot centre. Why not?
  7. I think JB might see Glass as the next Kricji. And he's got his Bergeron in Bo.
  8. tonnes of respect for Manny. The guy realized he needed (even though a top ten pick) to change his game in order to stay in the league. He think San Jose actually signed him on a PTO didn't they, before we got him? Really glad he's part of our organization. He can show (teach) the young guys that draft spot means nothing.
  9. I think Jake skate WAY better than 'The House'. Plus, Jake's got superior skills. Jake is going to score 20 this season for the Canucks and be a really effective fore checker. I see Janik Hansen, but bigger and even faster.
  10. Are those the actual NFL players? It looks like Mariota and his O-line?
  11. I really could care less about how Jake stays lean, just so long as he shows up to camp fit.
  12. Wow! Likely he would come back, I hope:)
  13. If he comes to the next camp fat again the .ECHL will ABSOLUTELY be the next stop.
  14. Hutton straight across for Reinhart? Really don't like giving up Hutton:(
  15. Yes, I agree with a one year contract. If he proves himself we might get something for him at the 2018 TDL. Definitely NO to Eberle.
  16. Okay. Still, why did he spend all those years in Europe, rather than fighting for a job here?
  17. Why is this a crock of &$@#? He chose the easier route, and played for a lot less money. Why?
  18. They are both soft. Don't want either.
  19. Exactly. This guy is 27. He could have (with his obvious skill level) competed for - and likely earned - a higher paying NHL contract years ago. He took the easy road, and played in the softer Euro leagues.
  20. To get Mac on our team would be awesome. I see him (at the NHL level) as a more effective winger than center though. Horvat is likely already the better center, so that's too much to give for a winger like Mac is right now. I would counter with: Tanev plus our first this year (fifth overall) for Mac.
  21. A bubble team would be the best too. Then whatever pick we get would (likely) come in the middle of a round, rather than the end. I still, however, see guys (most often) picked up at TDLs as the gritty two-way players. Even a guy like Vrbata had no interest with a good season this year.
  22. Sounds like a good plan, but is Rodin the kind of player who gets picked up at TDLs?
  23. Is Loui's contract better or worse if we extend the Twins?
  24. Good point. You're saying a one year deal, so we can trade him at the coming TDL?
