  1. Only seen highlites of Necas, but he looks like he is a dynamic offencive player. We need a guy like that.
  2. God, would LOVE TO TRADE both Tanev and Sutter. Could you imagine adding RNH, Duchene, and Hischier this summer? We'd surely be a HELL OF A LOT more fun to watch.
  3. And we need an elite skilled centre to get him the puck in scoring spots. Patrick?
  4. Best players at forward now are super grinders, like Crosby and Toews. The Twins were friggin poetry on ice, when they were putting up 100+ points.
  5. I hope our next coach puts ALL our players in the best spots to succeed. I really like Jake on LEFT wing, how about you?
  6. It's the French spelling, I think.
  7. And that's why I prefaced my post with, "I mostly agree". I want Jake to develop into more than a bottom six guy. I think, considering his draft position, there's no reason not to keep expectations high, for now.
  8. I mostly agree, but what types of players does a team usually draft top ten: bottom six energy guys, or top six point producers?
  9. Agreed. Neither looks that good tbh. Maybe the Stromes use the same agent as LaMallo and LaFonzo Ball's Dad?
  10. I do have a brand new crystal ball. I tossed my last one; it was too often (okay, always:) wrong.
  11. Right now it's hard to disagree. Tkatchuk is performing in the NHL, while Olli is still in Junior. I FIRMLY BELIEVE that Olli will be not only a more valuable player than Tkatchuk, but he will mature into an elite - minute munching - number one. Tkatchuk is what he is right now. Olli will become in four or five years the elite number one stud we've never had. Which would you rather have?
  12. Absolutely! The team is trying to shape Jake into something he's not, and it's really hurting his "natural" talents.
  13. The Canucks have coached the "playing" hockey out of Jake, and have him "thinking" too much. That's not his game. He needs to be left to just play, and he'll be fine.
  14. If that guy plays games for the Habs EVER the Habs will be a bottom feeder.
  15. True. A couple posters ran some more in depth fancy stats showing Olli was playing really tough minutes while mentoring their younger D.
  16. Discussed at length here, and JUIOLEVI is BY FAR the WAY BETTER player. We decided earlier IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE. hope that resolves your concerns.
  17. Watching the "Pink Double Flamingo" tonight against the Caps. The kid is a total perimeter player, and a McSofty. Hate the Leafs, and hate that little pretty boy.
  18. Hard to cheer for the Jays after they let EE go. Still want them to win, but miss the big guy in the middle of the line-up.
  19. Love Gaunce. I think having Malholtra really helped Gaunce accept (at the NHL level) he needs to be a defensive minded, hard to play against fourth liner. If the guy would learn to fight, he would never lose his spot in the line-up.
  20. Green will (most likely) be our next head coach. He will bring Virtanen along, and some of the other younger players too.
  21. I would hope for both, but settle for either. Tanev is a very good defensive d-man, but getting both those assets for him, might be difficult. If you had to choose either one or the other (Duclair or pick 3-7) for Tanev, which would you prefer?
  22. Are their rumours of a Jake trade? Do tell:)
