  1. A 19 year old kid who dominated almost every game for a 20 game stretch after his return from the WJC's too. I firmly believe we will see JV dominate more and more, for longer stretches this coming season.
  2. That's a good point. Just WIN baby!
  3. That's a good point. There are only the two preseason games. Happy our guys won too. That's two games in a row where our offence was better in the second half. I guess that a sign of good coaching.
  4. Why is the CFL so full of turnovers?
  5. Henrik will CERTAINLY be the best centre (for disturbing the puck) Eriksson played with.
  6. I don't disagree. The best way to sell tickets is a winning club. I accept that Eriksson increases that occurance. However, he's not a ticket seller on his own.
  7. Maybe they're referring to our best players (Twins) are a year closer to their end? I think these guys don't realize just how good Bo Harvat is, and that's their issue. Bo will have a great season (60+ points) and then these TSN guys will see. GO BO GO
  8. He is a very solid player, who plays a good 200 foot game. He's not selling any tickets though.
  9. Yup, seeing the value of young D (Larson) Oilli might have the most value (excluding Matthews) of the top six in five years.
  10. I think there are only two other Canucks who could keep up with Bo in the gym - the Twins.
  11. Yup. The kids going to be in our top pair for the next 12 years. I see see you have Ohlund as you little picture guy. If our new Olli can be as good as our old Olli, we have a beauty.
  12. What do I win? I really don't like my nose - plastic surgery?
  13. There are 30 number one D, and a lot less Elite number one D. How many elite number one D? 12-15?
  14. Dustin Byfuglien is not an ELITE number one D. We are discussing Olli's potential of becoming an ELITE number one D. Elite Number ones play in all circumstances: head the PP, PK, 5on5, and they are excellent in ALL those situations. They log heavy and numerous minutes. No matter the circumstance, they control the game when on the ice. Olli did that for London and the Finnish national team, while leading both to championships, winning the award of top D, and at 17/18 years old, against (in many cases) players 2 years older.
  15. Your point is valid. To sign an elite number one D man as a UFA is near impossible (Suter and Chara). To trade for one is completely impossible. (NONE) we just drafted a guy (Olli) with that potential. We Win!
  16. Gaunce is faster at top speed, but .drouin is quicker getting to his top speed. I agree.
  17. I heard him compared to Lidstrom in how he plays. (Ferraro) He's always in your way on defence, and just does everything really well.
  18. Considering this is CDC, and we all introduce ourselves with a lie, I think it's expected.
  19. Don't they have to qualify him to keep his rights, in case he does come back?
  20. Yule Brenner was the best Ramses. He kind of has the Bo look.
  21. I heard that too. I don't believe it though.
  22. I know for a fact, I used to be taller:(

  23. He's not a quick footed skater. His top end - straight line - speed, is fine. He just take more time to get there than quick footed guys, like Drouin.
  24. I just want us to win a bloody Cup. To do so a team needs (or seems to need) a high minute, all situations, stud D man. I hope Olli can do for us what he did for London and Finland - be the stud D that leads his team to a championship.
  25. I hear you though. maybe the d kid take in round five - Candella - could turn out the better of the two? It's a wait and see for all our prospects. i do like that Olli played in the OHL last season. We have seen him do well on the smaller ice, in the faster, tougher action. It's the Euro league guys who might have trouble making the transition.
