  1. Hi Clam. You're cute when you're angry. i just finished hearing an interview with one of the top OHL Scouts on 1040. He said Olli was the number one D man on the Knights in all circumstances. Really, we will have to wait and see if he is a top pairing guy.
  2. I don't know about anyone else, but from the clips he looked a lot like a Brendan Ghallger type. If he played in the CHL, I would think he would have been involved in a lot of scraps, considering his style. Call it high compete level, or a pain in the a$$ to play against; it's seems like this kid has it. IMHAO, of course.
  3. How about we all agree to call him Olli?
  4. Wow! She's amazing! That picture is actually quite spectacular.
  5. Mrs. Alf boarded up the beer fridge. I just got back from a two hour run, on my scooter.
  6. Maybe one of us is JB's spy? I think it's Desi. His posts are like using torture to extract information.
  7. CDC is part of the greater Canucks.com, so who knows?
  8. On CDC, absolutely! ps. careful what you suggest here. I hear JB scouts this board for trade ideas.
  9. It's not just Gudbrandson that will help Dorsett. I really see Pedan on our fourth line.
  10. Are Toews, Bergeron, or Kopitar elite? It really depends on one's definition of elite, does it not?
  11. Keep it up boys. Your sniping is way more exciting than this draft is turning out to be.
  12. That's an excellent comparison.
  13. Wow! I didn't know that. Tough kid, for sure.
  14. Was it Matta we were hearing plateaued, and lost traction in Pitt?
  15. That's the best result though. The worst place to be is stuck in the middle, no?
  16. Why? Dubois might be a bust. If any of the top five bust, he's the one that could. I like our pick. We need a number one D.
  17. Who is Olli friggin' Matta? I heard he's compared to Lidstrom!
  18. That's awesome Goose! The (except for Logan Brown part). Loved it! We certainly will not take Brown at 5. However, if we trade with the Yotes and get 7, then his selection becomes a bit more likely, does it not?
  19. JB clearly has an eye for the draft.
  20. If he reaches Vlasic's level that would be huge. Maybe he was one of those late to physically mature, and is now catching up and passing other guys?
  21. With prospects though, don't we focus on their ceiling? Guys get drafted high (usually) because of their ceiling being higher. Now whether these prospects reach their ceilings is to be determined. With Brisbois being a 3rd rounder, his projected ceiling would be lower than those D drafted higher, no? So for him to be chosen for the WJC summer camp is a sign he's now pushing his ceiling higher than from his draft position. This is a very good thing. The kid could very well become a top four or even a top pair minute munching D-man. His ceiling of potential keeps rising. IMHAO, of course.
  22. He throws it without taking much strain on his elbow. How old was Phil Niekro when he retired. These guys can pitch a lot of innings for a long time. They are useful inning munchers, but not always top of the rotation guys.
  23. Yup. I'm not a stats guy. Dickey is an inning muncher. That's a stat. He has a high ERA. That's a stat.
