  1. Could Sutter be a place holder, until our younger core develops?
  2. Maybe we trade Marky, keep Miller, and Demko comes up? Young goalies are making more appearances in the league.
  3. It always amazes me to see how the younger generation of goalies can shot the puck with those sticks. There was a goalie for the Canucks back in the 70's, Gary Smith, he would literally punt the puck down the ice. Goalies were mostly told to not handle the puck. Now, guys like yourself, can flick it from centre and hit the crossbar- to an old timer that's bloody amazing.
  4. Do you guys play using goalies? and Jake is a big guy. It's okay for him to be heavy. He will lean out as he matures.
  5. I agree 100%. Is there any better (modern) training than MMA for all around fitness, strength, and fighting techniques? I would love for Lucic to come here, so he could mentor Jake on how a top line power forward needs to prepare. How about a lean mean tattooed Jake, who is always on the edge of going absolutely psycho, and shredding a guy? That's hard to do, when you are so young (19) and inexperienced.
  6. Yup, it's scripted. The players don't realize it though. They try so hard, only to have the league controlled refs cheat it away. Then again, the scripting does mean the league makes more money, with means the players make more money.
  7. That endurance often comes with maturity, doesn't it?
  8. Should a guy who needs to work on aerobic fitness be bulking up? He looks like a cracker snacker.
  9. Maybe these old guys come back for appearances now because the are needed for ratings, and for fans to come out?
  10. Yup, I agree 100%. Excellent post Desi. My wife and I used watch the show back in the nineties just to laugh. It was fun. It's clearly dead now.
  11. What? The Rock, Mankind, and Stone Cold were arguably the biggest stars of the ninties. They were hilarious, but couldn't wrestle at all. People flocked to see them, and the TV shows did extremely well because of them. The shows were funny, because the characters were interesting and made people laugh. It's not how big the guy is, it's whether he can act, be interesting, entertain, and be funny. Every one watch knows it's scripted. The fake competition is of zero value. For example, Al Snow was nothing until he started parading around with "Head". The characters of the nineties were funny. And the company was extremely successful then.
  12. How much has this great catcher helped out the bull pen? The Jays need one lefty and one righty to get to the closer.
  13. What? Vince McMahn grew the company by creating characters who were hilarious, more than they were actually good wrestlers. Who running the company wouldn't want to make more money?
  14. Current WWE needs more characters, who are FUNNY. Without the humor, it's just really large guys rolling about in tights. Miss the 90s What do you think? "IT DOES'T MATTER WHAT ..." That was funny!
  15. Are there spots in our lineup for both Baer and Rodin?
  16. Hedley are great. BTO they were okay. And Buton Cumming's band.
  17. Who are they? At least give us a hint.
  18. This is really not the thread for Baer talk, and I'm learning to not be lured into derailing a thread. So go through your wrenches elsewhere. I can dodge them with the best. Traffic too, and blindfolded! This new guy was a free Bee. That's great. We need all our picks and more.
  19. Pedan is playing wing on the fourth line, I think. That creates more space on the back end, right?
  20. It's a home court league. The Raptors just need to hold serve.
