  1. Or we waited to make the deal and Barzal gets injured before the trade. Does Lou Lam give up as much or even go for Bo then? that first being so good is why we could get Hronek. Very good timing by Allvin.
  2. Looking forward to watching old Bo tonight v the Ducks. Bo should dominate against Zegras. Guaranteed win for the Islanders and a 3 point game for BoHo.
  3. OEL was on the decline and ending his prime. Hronek turned 25 a couple months ago and is just now entering his prime. The four guys you mentioned are good players, but our guy in the same core roles are better.
  4. Does Lou Lam give up as much as he did to get Bo if we waited on that trade and Lou sees Barzal out long term?
  5. Of course not. It makes Bo what he is: a 50-60 point centre who is average defensively and great in face-offs.
  6. Why would we buyout Myers? After his bonus is paid in July he will have trade value. We could dumperoo his full cap.
  7. Sure. I think we will try to sign him to a good number this summer. But if he wants more than management believes he’s worth (right now) then we will wait. If he is carrying our second pair then he’s worth 7 per.
  8. Hronek will still be an RFA after this contract ends July 2024. Plus, I think this management group has a very good read in Hronek already. They’ve been scouting and tracking him for a long time. Just like they were scouting and tracking Kuzmenko.
  9. Is Parayko a coming UFA? He would be a great partner for Quinn.
  10. What would it cost to get Tanev back? He was the perfect partner for Hughes.
  11. Hughes, Msyfield Gravikov, Hronek Dermott, Bear Looks pretty damn good.
  12. That sounds great! How much would those guys cap be combined? Buoying out OEL and dumping Myers clears us 13 for next season.
  13. Hughes is showing he can carry our top pair with AHL level partners. Love to get Tanev back, or a guy of that quality for his partner. That would free Quinn up to be more offensive minded 5 on 5. Hronek will carry our second pair. Not too sure who we could get to compliment him.
  14. Bo is a supporting role player who wanted to be paid like a play driver, key core piece. Great guy, but he “is what he is”. He’s a 59-60 point centre who isn’t great defensively. It was inevitable he fell back to that player. And new Beau isn’t a ppg player. He’s getting a bump playing with our great players. I see us offering him a longer term deal this summer at around 4-4.5 per. If he takes it, great for us. If not we will move him.
  15. Yup. This management group has a short term plan and a long term plan. Moving Bo for Hronek (Raty and Beau) was an example of short term and long term planning. Lots of moves coming to improve our club for the now and the future. I like that this management is working to make up better right now and in the future at the same time. Constant build to be better and better.
  16. Garland has been very good, with the puck, under Tocchet. He still struggles away from the puck though. Can what he provides be replaced by Hoglander at 1 mil?
  17. I doubt we draft lower than 9th. And we aren’t getting up above 7.
  18. That’s likely what management is thinking too. There’s a number they will extend new Beau at. He’s a supporting role player so If he expects more (like old Bo did) then they will move him. Keeping his cap allocation under 4.5 per would be excellent.
  19. Could be. when Does he have to submit his list?
  20. Would the NHL expect a big relocation fee from the new owners?
