      Toronto Maple Leafs with an impressive win against the Bruins tonight and now having already 15 points. They get goals from their top six forwards almost every night - in contrast to Vancouver Canucks. Great times ahead for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

      We might be right there with Seattle in the standings, but they actually play well as a team

      but danault is actually a great defender, and outscores his 1st line matchups. It doesnt matter how much you score as long as you outscore your opponent. danault over 3 years when he was on the ice scored 47 more goals than his opponents or about 58% gf/ga ratio.

      In all seriousness though, the Canucks and AZ do have a working relationship from this past summer.   

       

      IF the Coyotes continue to struggle and IF the Canucks can keep close ground in the playoff race, then I wouldn't be opposed to kicking the tires on Chychrun or Keller at some point if those guys request to be traded.  Something around Hamonic, our 2022 1st, and a couple of good prospects for Chychrun.

      I don’t know what’s your fixation with Chychrun, but if you take any of our defensemen and plug them on a team like Arizona. Their +/- rating would also be pretty terrible.
       

      Arizona has no scoring, no secondary defenders, and no starting goaltending. They are almost dead last in every statistical category both offensively and defensively. I don’t know what you’re expecting from a player, playing on a team like that.

       

      I would take Chychrun on my team over any of our defenders. Despite his poor +/- rating.

    Seth Jones’ minus 4 tonight has him now leading for the Green Jacket at -10.  (One up on those two great defensive guys in Loser Maker and terrible Chychrun). Hawks did well getting this guy.  :lol:

      The Jones signing may prove to be the worst in modern history with Chicago looking at a commitment of 8 years and $76 million. This season the Hawks are paying 30.5 million for three players in Jones, Toews and Kane. Those three have accounted for one goal, 9 assists and a collective -22 +/- rating. Only Kane seems to be producing (1G and 4A) but he's on the injury list now, while Toews seems only a shadow of his former self. Jones is a highly paid player of only average ability. How does Stan Bowman keep his job?

      And Mitch Marner hasn't scored in his last 13 games, going back to last regular season and playoffs. He is paid $10,903,000 per year for four more years. Auston Matthews has scored 4 goals in his last 13. He is paid $11,634,000 per year, for three more yearas.. So, Leafs lovers, are we havin' fun yet? Is this the year Toronto collapses inwards on itself, and the Shanaplan is revealed a a Sham Plan?

      im seeing serious character and mental toughness issues with the Leafs overpaid, highest minute guys.  

      It’s similar to what the Oilers did when the6 had Nuge, Hall, Eberle.  Gave them too much money too soon.  Contracts the players never truly earned.  The guys thought they were bigger than th3 team, and measured their success by the size of their pay-check.  Created a toxic environment.  Loser Leafs are following the same path.  Matthews will be first out.  Then Marner.
