  1. Who is that Dach kid in Seattle? He’s the only guy from that team worth anything.
  2. Really? Maybe AHLers. They’re looking like they can’t handle the speed of this game. They won’t be able to process fast enough for the Natuonal league. These are guys drafted to be offensive difference makers. They can’t play defence. They are in the same boat as Geunther. Roth change their game to be a grunt or they are career AHLers.
  3. Guenther has been a scorer in junior. He will need to change his mindset to being a checker to have an NHL career. Otherwise he’s an AHL guy. Klim might end up being the better player.
  4. Geunther is just not very good. Definitely a bustaroo.
  5. That’s a very good point. I think Ray will make us laugh in those situations where he would otherwise be teaching the US fans. He says some ridiculously funny things. I remember one time, when he was working with Scotty Rintool, they had a poll to decide the best candy bar. Ray went on a rant about the “Eatmore” and how it was cool it could be used as a whip-like weapon. Or how he would say a certain player needed a “swift kick in the arse with a frozen boot” to get him going.
  6. True, but it creates an unfair advantage for the wealthier clubs.
  7. Maybe there’s a lot of owners who don’t want the compliance buyouts? They just lost a boatload of money during the Covid years.
  8. PLD for sure could sign with us. And if he hasn’t by the TDL we can trade him for a great return. Likely at least what we got for Bo. Okay that was a steal but probably close to that.
  9. New Beau + Boeser for Dvorak + Anderson does reduce our cap allocation for the two forwards. 11 mil out and 10 back. We get stuck with longer term though. But we get a 3C and a heavier winger. Okay Habs need to add picks because of the term differences.
  10. Seattle will win this. They are the best team there. Seattle Quebec Peterborough Kamloops.
  11. Something big will happen between us and the Habs. I see Dvorak and Anderson coming here and two of our three (often proposed in trade) wingers headed back.
  12. What he going to say? The player stinks and isn’t what we need? Behind the scenes Trotz is trying to get the best deal he can for (who are we discussing anyway?)
  13. Old Bo and new (and obviously better for us) Beau will forever be tied together. One guy fell off a cliff when asked to play the right way. The other? When here, soared to new heights. To suggest new Beau is a buyout candidate is like saying old Bo was a mouse in our room.
  14. If the correct league owners don’t want to pony up the difference between what QC will pay for the Coyotes and what Huston or Salt Lake will pay then for sure the club ends up in QC. The owners might not want to pay 10 - 20 mil each to subsidize new ownership’s purchase in a U.S. city when they can get 10 - 20 mil each in transfer fees from QC. That’s a net 20 - 40 mil into the pockets of each owner. Bettman works for those owners. Not the other way around.
  15. Why even suggest such a silly idea though? New Beau is on a great number and plays well in a high minute role with top players. Plus he’s on an expiring contract, is a proven playoff performer, who will have certain value at the 2024 TDL. Yes, we might trade him before then but he for certain isn’t a buyout candidate. Only a moron like Benning would suggest that to our owner.
  16. So what is old Bo worth then consider we see what he does without Petey, JTM, and Hughes proper him up? Maybe a guy who proves he can play with elite players in a high minute role has more value than some here might think? Maybe we should consider keeping such a player who can do those things and is only 25 if we can sign him to a team friendly deal?
  17. Why would we trade young guys for a 30 year old Schiefele? That’s what Benning would have done.
  18. For PLD? Absolutely. The Jets get a guy locked into a long term deal. We have until the TDL to negotiate a new deal with PLD. If it’s a no go then we trade him as a rental at the TDL. To a contending team, with retention or taking back a contract, he’s worth a lot. Likely a couple firsts or a first and a top prospect. Look at what Bo got!
  19. Beau isn’t soft. He’s an excellent compliment to you. Garlsnd is going to be very difficult to move without taking back money.
  20. Beau is absolutely a north south player. That’s why he is so good with you. It’s Garland who’s the doodle bug.
  21. Yup. New Beau is only 25. He’s just entering his prime. And we can trade him at the 2024 TDL (as a playoff rental) if we can’t get a fair extension in place. The Bo trade might end up for Hronek, Raty, and a second. That’s a darned good deal that makes us better now and better down the road.
  22. Of course new Beau isn’t part of our core. But he’s definitely a step up from old Bo. And at half the cap allocation too. Petey is a phenom. Like Hughes he will make the guys he plays with Better. But those guys still need to be able to play top minutes against high end players. New Beau is great in that role. Kuz Missile, Petey, Beau. That’s a great line.
  23. We could move new Beau for full cap relief. New Beau we will keep though and trade at the 2024 TDL. Garland is s Benning stain; he costs to move. But we could move him for a 3C. Dvorak from the Habs for Garland is a fair deal. We might see a big trade with the Habs. Boeser + Garland for Dvorak + Anderson. Two guys the Habs have been trying to get rid of who would do a lot better with us because we have better players for them to play with.
  24. Old Bo is a 50-60 point centre who is good on face offs but poor defensively. The evidence in in. When insisted upon to play the right way (and not cheat for offence) old Bo is more a 40 point player. Clearly new Bo proved he’s better. 105 points next season. The empties have spoken. All kneel and bow.
  25. What do old Bo’s stats make him? An elephant? New Beau is absolutely a light top six forward. He’s 25. Just entering his prime.
