  1. More comments... Interview with Tryamkin dated March 6: http://www.championat.com/hockey/news-2399610-trjamkin-kontrakt-s-vankuverom-poka-ne-zakljuchen.html "I am thankful to Avtomobilist to release me. Contract with Canucks is not signed yet. If this happens, then I need to show everything I can this season." Interview with Nikita's agent Vladimir Zorkin: http://www.championat.com/hockey/news-2399580-agent-trjamkin-smozhet-vernutsja-v-rossiiju-v-sluchae-otpravki-v-akhl.html "First, I would like to thank Avtomobilist that it has released Nikita before his contract expires. Tryamkin will sign standard entry-level two-way contract with Vancouver in near future. It will include point that the player might return to Russia if he is sent to the farm club in AHL. As I understand, Canucks has little chance to play in playoffs, that is why the club is interested to evaluate Tryamkin and let him play in the NHL right now. That was the topic of discussions with Canucks. Regular season in the NHL will finish in the middle of April so Nikita will have chance to showcase himself."
  2. Interesting comments by the Avto coach Andrey Razin about the Tryamkin's chance to play in the NHL: http://www.championat.com/hockey/news-2399716-razin-u-trjamkina-est-vsjo-chtoby-zaigrat-v-nkhl-no-dolzhny-i-sojtis-zvjozdy.html "I wish him good luck, he has everything to play in the NHL and now this is up to the player to be successful. He has greatly improved this year but in the NHL everything needs to come together: first you need to get chance, to use it next and then make the team permanently. Plus this is important to know language (English). He talked to our international players pretty well."
  3. Ryan Biech ‏@ryanbiech 17m17 minutes ago With his 21st point of the season - Ben Hutton passes Edler (had 20 in 07/08) in points by a rookie defenceman. #Canucks
  4. Little correction: Tryamkin will be 22 on Aug 30, 2016.
  5. Found the latest interview with the Avto head coach Andrey Razin about loss in playoffs and the Tryamkin's injury: http://www.sport-express.ru/hockey/khl/reviews/973721/?utm_source=news&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=blockread Translation: ...Besides we had many injures. Defenseman Tryamkin and Turbin played with fracture hand. Both had plaster (cast) under gloves - one was with injured hand, another with broken finger... Hmm this does not explain why Tryamkin was not able to raise his arm after the playoff games according to the Razin's earlier interview.
  6. You are welcome. I will continue monitoring Russian sources for new details of the deal.
  7. Okay I am going to translate couple of today's articles from the Russian media to provide you with better understanding of the current status of this deal. http://www.championat.com/hockey/news-2398286-agent-my-zhdjom-bumagu-ot-nkhl-trjamkin-dal-soglasie-vankuveru.html Nikita's agent Vladimir Zorkin: "What information? We are waiting. Day, two. Nikita Tryamkin agreed. His contract with Avtomobilist will get expired this year. Tryamkin was drafted by Vancouver, he was contacted by them. He agreed to move there and play the rest of the season for them. Right now we are waiting papers from the NHL. We are dealing with this question. We are waiting, this is current info about this." http://www.championat.com/hockey/news-2398256-gross-ja-ne-protiv-nkhl-no-esli-trjamkin-khochet-igrat-emu-tam-delat-nechego.html GM of Avtomobilist club Oleg Gross: "You want to know my opinion? I believe he should not go there. My opinion is that this is too early for Tryamkin if he wants to be successful. I am not against NHL but it should be clear understanding when and why you go there. I think it is too early. Nobody contacted me from North America. As the general manager of the Avtomobilist club, I have not received any offer."
  8. From the Avto fan forum: I don't have words to describe how much # 88 has improved this season - very respectable home grown defenseman he becomes. He was forgiven his learning mistakes because I would say he was the face of our club. Nikita will move to the NHL and for some reason I believe that he is going to grow more and make the national team. Anyway he is a beauty, thank you Nikita, especially for your saves in the playoffs.
  9. Sorry SilentSam, worked last night and some OT in the morning... Yeah Avto lost 5-2 last night despite leading after the first period 2-0. Tryamkin with primary assist on first goal, he played 22:42, the most minutes among Avto players. This is link to video http://video.khl.ru/events/404883?locale=ru First goal at 01:14 - 01:38, Tryamkin in front of the opponent's net pushing players around.
  10. Jon Abbott ‏@HockeyAbbs 5m5 minutes ago Considering Gaunce is on emergency recall, he remains for the length of time that Hansen is out of the lineup. It sounds like a week-2 weeks.
  11. Posted by Steve Ewen in the Province blog today: Coach Willie Desjardins is promising line changes. Horvat moves from centring Jake Virtanen and Sven Baertschi to skating between Linden Vey and Emerson Etem. Markus Granlund, who had been with Vey and Etem, takes over Horvat’s spot with Virtanen and Baertschi. Baertschi and Granlund had played together during their time in the Calgary Flames’ system. “Yeah, maybe,” Baertschi said when asked if he can help the adjustment for Granlund, who is playing his third game Vancouver tonight, “but he’s done a great job the last couple of games. He’s been really good. “I like his speed and his grit and he’s going to the net really well. I like his playmaking abilities. I like a lot about his game. I love his game actually. Having a chance to go out there with him is something exciting for me.”
  12. TSN1040 23h23 hours ago Benning: We're going to play our young players until the end of the year, and call up some kids, like Brendan Gaunce.
  13. He is excited to be in playoffs, he is playing for his home team in his home city. NHL is so far away in his mind right now...
  14. Avto has lost road game 5 last night with score 4-2 and is one step away from playoff elimination. Tryamkin played 17:40 with +0, 1 blocked shot, no hits or shots. Looks like his injury is finally affecting his minutes, he definitely needs medical evaluation by the Canucks staff after the playoffs...
  15. Avto won last night 3-1 and the series is now tied at 2-2. Tryamkin played 21:17 which is still the most in his team (they played 8 defensemen). He had 2 SOG, 2 hits, 1 blocked shot and 2 PIM for hooking.
  16. LarsEn is actually 5th in points and 2nd in goals scored among KHL defensemen after the regular season. http://en.khl.ru/stat/leaders/309/
  17. Yes, he plays with what appears to be injured shoulder.
  18. This is quite a playoffs for Tryamkin. Avto lost the game 3 at home 6-0. Tryamkin played 25:00 with 7 hits, 2 SOG and 1 blocked shot. The next defenseman by minutes played 19:46. Checked Avto fan forum. Fans were frustrated with the goalie and some even suggested to play Tryamkin in net - he was so good
  19. Ben Kuzma ‏@benkuzma 22h22 hours ago Granlund: "Of course there are hard feelings - I didn't play much in Calgary. #Canucks Vancouver CanucksVerified account ‏@VanCanucks 23h23 hours ago "His compete level is really high, he's got a real good shot and his skillset is great. I'm happy he's here" - Baertschi, on Granlund.
  20. Ben Kuzma ‏@benkuzma 16h16 hours ago Granlund's former AHL coach believes Desjardins will provide perfect push for forward to reach potential. http://bit.ly/1TEzmtL #Canucks

Video highlights from the last game (it is on bottom of the page, close commercial first, in Russian) http://video.khl.ru/quotes/353199?locale=ru 00:15 - 00:22 - Tryamkin in front of the Magnitka's net 01:12 - Tryamkin's defensive work 01:26 - 01:38 - prevented goal into open net 02:20 - prevented breakaway 03:26 - prevented EN goal 03:36 - EN goal, just left the bench
  22. Avto lost the second road playoff game 2-0. Tryamkin played 20:59 with -1, 3 blocked shots and 2 hits.
  23. Hmmm no, that was after Vikings Finland was part of the Swedish Kingdom from the 13th to the early 19th century...
