These were not the Devils from the regular season, they tried to play another style, more physicial, more safe. It was clearly not working. The coaches were overthinking. So I expect a different gameplan from them, back to their strength with a fast and skilled game tonight. If not, they will be swept by the Rangers.

So much talent in this young Devils Team. Devils in 5.

With Lukes debut and Nemec growing in the AHL, there will be some change in Jerseys D next year. Who has to go? Graves and Severson? Or will Luke Hughes make Hamilton expendable? Hamilton would take a lot of interest on the market and the return would be huge.

Looks like a three team trade, they are often a bit complicated cap wise.

That leaves NJ for Meier.

Let's have a look at it from a NJ perspective: Hamilton have to be a part of a deal, because otherwise their D would have to many offensive defenders. And they would likely not trade Nemec, instead offer someone like Bratt while they acquire Meier to replace him and add maybe a pick. To NJ: Hughes, Boeser To Van: Hamilton, Bratt and a maybe a minor pick This could be a very good deal for Vancouver.

Lian Bichsel (not Bischel) is very good, I really like his game. And he’s more of a two way D and not only a DD.

I could see Miller on Jack Hughes wing. Would you do it for Hamilton, one for one?

Of course I'm watching. Third win after overtime, the Swiss showed team spirit and will, even without outstanding players.

Well, NJ has to move a D or two next summer. Regulars are Hamilton, Siegenthaler, Graves, Marino, Severson and Smith. Recent call-ups are Bahl and Okhotiuk, and Walsh is waiting for a chance, too. And then there are Nemec and Luke Hughes. I expect them to move Graves, Smith and maybe one of Bahl and Walsh. Everbody talks about Severson, but I think they try him to sign at a reasonable contract, something around 4 millions per year.

Wow, Wright has put on weight fast. Reminds a bit of Vladimir Krutov with his chubby cheeks, hopefully he hasn't adopted his diet.

A shortcut from Switzerland: without an outstanding player, the key to success for this team is hard work. Most important player is undrafted captain Attilio Biasca, perhaps a late bloomer.

NJ won't trade Nemec. Kid is great and grossly underestimated. He plays offensively and defensively at high level, which is a rare combination.

NJ needs desperatly a true power forward. Big, fast, scoring, RW. Somebody like Timo Meier. Does Bo Horvat play RW? Asking for a friend....
