15 games remaining and this team holds it's destiny in their own hands what more could one ask for -
what is fun about all this is 8-7 record gets us in the playoffs and a 9-6 record could easily get us a top 3 in the pacific division this is what makes this season so fun to watch

The Canucks finally learned to come together and play like a team That first min of the 3rd period really set a tone, they made a statement not tonight not again -
Yes and no, Bracket can't make red skittles he can just see them better then others if they are there. Bracket can also spot the brighter red skittles Petey and Hughes are bright red Skittles sometimes GMs can spot red skittles but if there is a bunch of them it can be hard at spotting the brighter ones
-
Sometimes a red skittle gets in with the M&Ms but those ones are rare. Also there is no blue skittles unless you have a tropical bag of skittles, there are orange one though
-
1 of them might be a red one and the rest are duds. I always think collecting first round draft picks is like collecting 4 out of 6 (odds) in red skittles
-
Now I see where we disagree. I believe second round draft picks are skittles. There are like 6 colors and only the red ones matter, the rest are duds. So once in awhile a red one does get traded but for the most part it's ok to trade duds.

it's because you don't understand context this is a young core who has fought to make it to where they are all year, to me it sounds like if you where managing this team you would choose to give your young core no hope and no chance to make the playoffs even though you know one of your top 6 players is possible out the rest of the regular season (Boeser) to me that's pretty harsh. You would be the only GM that said that to your team all around the Pacific Division every team in the hunt made deals to try and get better and give their team a chance to make the playoffs. Jim Benning actions say a lot to his players and to the fans
-
Also on the Toffoli acquisition, IMO I think we stole him, I think miss or make the playoffs that trade is a steal in the Canucks favor, I would have Benning do that trade 100 out of 100 times. If they find a way to re-sign him I will be Laughing it will go down as one of the Best trades this team has ever made.
-
The Toffoli acquisition is a good management decision, first to the players as a pick me up for losing Boeser and then to the fans to show they will do what they can (within reason) to make the playoffs. For the Miller trade, people need to remember Miller is no rental the Canucks have him for another 3 years at a very cap friendly hit. it is those next three years that fans should more likely expect the Canucks to make the Playoffs. A first round draft pick this season or next will not be contributing to this team the same why Miller is contributing to the team now. The doubters should ask yourselves this, without miller this season are they competing for a playoff spot. For me it's a resounding NO.

if you can't see the difference from this season to the past few seasons you really do have blinders on

Let's say the Canucks are around the 86-94 point range, that range is just miss or just in the playoffs. If the Caucks give up a draft pick next season that's a top 5, the Canucks this year would have to have a point range of 70-75 points to do that assume of course they didn't win the lottery next year. I would make the argument that if they drop that far next season their are far greater issues and the draft pick they gave up is only the tip of the iceberg The more likely scenario is that if they miss the playoffs nest season they just miss the playoffs next season. So the draft pick range is anywhere between 15 and maybe as low as 10. A top 10 pick means that they won the lottery or everything thing bad that can happen did happen. Injuries to Hughes and or Petey, injury to our starting goalie, the floor itself just falls out from their feet
