  1. If the Bruins get shut out won't they be only the 2nd team to get shut out on hone ice in game 7 of the SCF?
  2. Their contracts must be similar to the NHL. Our contracts run until June 30 so no matter when that player finishes playing for the year no other team can talk to them.
  3. You keep talking about this, but these players aren't children. They've got to want it, and sometimes no matter how much effort and time you pour into a player it becomes obvious they just don't want it bad enough and then you have to move on from them. Not meant as a statementof value of the individual, but as an organisation you have to invest your time and energy where it will be most useful.
  4. I think EP40 is internally motivated, and Dhalen needs to be externally motivated and because he doesn't have the skill level to get by without effort he'll have an extremely tough time making it in the NHL.
  5. I'm no Bruins fan but that was a perfect 10 diving score! It's awful that's in the game when anyone does it.
  6. If you read the whole article (sorry I didn't post in it's entirety) the reporters are saying that JB is just speculating. I don't really know, and I guess we'll never really know the full detail of what went down.
  7. Benning's comments in an article from Vancouver Courier on 27 Feb: “I find young players now, sometimes they don’t want to pay their dues in development time, they just want to be given an NHL opportunity right off the start,” he said. “We just felt that there was some development left in his game before he’s ready to be given an NHL opportunity and we felt he wasn’t there yet and I guess that’s kind of where the discrepancy on what they thought and what we thought where he was happened.” Sounds like JB felt Dahlen had a sense of entitlement.
  8. Mark Messier all the way with Rat Marchand a very close second.
  9. Shame all these games start 1am my time so I won't be able to watch or listen to any of it. If it was the Canucks I'd happily get up but not motivated enough for either of these teams. Picked Blues in 5 cause I don't like the bruins, and I think the Blues have what it takes. Thinking that Schwatrz continues his great playoff performance and gets another hatty in this series. Go Blues!
  10. Love the goal, but love the attitude even more! Wonder what was going on on the ice that warrented the stare!
  11. We also need to surround him with a better supporting cast. As always we need more consistant secondary scoring so that teams will need to concentrate on more than just EPs line. Also, once he has 2 skilled wing options to pass to teams will have to defend the entire line instead of just him and Brock. Perhaps easier said than done because this is the same thing all 31 teams are attempting to accomplish.
  12. It would be a bold trade that's for sure. GMs do this kind of trade when they come up and it would certainly be selling high on Bo. Would I want to do it....no. Do I think it could work out....my chrystal ball is in the shop but I would do it. These players know it's a business so I can's see them getting too bent out of shape over it. Would probably be something that motivates Bo even more and he'd beast on us whenever he played Vancouver. Glad I'm not the GM!
  13. Well they were only playing Italy so not as stiff competition as regular NHLers.
  14. Only! I knew I shoulda learned to skate! This hockey pays good!
  15. Do you think Loui would walk away from several million bucks? I know I wouldn't. If I read capfriendly correctly his salary for the next 3 years is $5,000,000 plus $8,000,000 in bonuses. Next year he'll get $4m bonus plus $1m salary, the following year it's $3m bonus and $1m salary, and the last year it's $1m bonus and $3m salary. Be pretty hard to walk away from that.
  16. Congratulations Troy! A great example of what hard work will do for you!
  17. He was a warrior for us! Loved him going after Kadri after that blindside hit on Daniel - especially because he'd also just heen checked hard and was hurt. Need a couple more guys like him on the team.
  18. While Ralph Kruger was with the Southampton Saints he was still a scout for the Oilers. I found this video of one of his scouting events. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifW-F2koT4E
