  1. True but as has already been said, anybody we are going to put on waivers isn't going to be a huge loss for others if they miss out. We're bottom of the league, and if players can't make our team they are likely going to struggle to make anorher NHL roster. Obviously depends on each team's needs but...
  2. The other thing to remember with 'asset management' is that when JB calls teams about our fringe players, the other GMs will likely be aware of our over-crowding at certain positions. They'll be aware that we'll need to waive players if we can't trade them so would be happy to not use their assets for someone they very well might get for free off waivers. Fortunately OJ doesn't require waivers so no fear of losing him if management feels he would be better off starting in Utica.
  3. I believe DiPietro will still be in Jnr next year so will still need Demko for Utica unless he absolutely steals the crease in training camp.
  4. We can hope! It looks like he'll be a gamer anyway. Can't wait to see him play next year.
  5. There's always the ignore button folks.
  6. Good for him! That's got to be a big confidence booster!
  7. If he's got a nagging injury, which it seems he does, I think he should start his off season now and get healthy for camp.
  8. Guess it depends on how the next couple of drafts go and what our prospect cupboard looks like. If we are in a solid position, and if LE hasn't turned it around, then yes I would be ok to give up that pick.
  9. Just listened to his interview from after today's skate. Sounds like a quality young man. Hope he continues his upward development trajectory.
  10. I'll take the next Marty St Louis! Not saying he will be that but imagine if he does make it to that level?! Nobody ever thought MSL would get there but he did! We can always hope even though the odds are against him!
  11. Fighting is one thing - it's expected that you only have to worry about fists though. The knees to the back of the head is pretty bad and to me shows intent to injure. Not that a fist to the nose isn't I think 10 games is 2 too many.
  12. Every time I try to sound clever on here I mess it up! Thanks for clearing up my math.
  13. I believe it's 92% of his assists are primary assists.
  14. No this is extra league stuff. If they are eliminated from the Champions Hockey League then they still have the SEL season and playoffs to complete. I think they get a cash bonus if they win the CHL.
  15. Agreed, but fans of every team in every sport feel the refs are against them. Nucks fans are no better or worse than others.
  16. Still time for another goal or two tonight.
  17. Love that he didn't go away and sulk, but used the situation as motivation.
  18. Yes he seems to have good instincts in all zones. Here's hoping he gets over the flu quickly so he can enjoy dominating!
  19. My 12 year old son says he (JG) looks like he's just eaten someone in this photo
  20. Yeah I would say even though Kole threw some pretty good shots at the beginning, Lees got the better shots off over the whole fight.
  21. Yes he has demonstrated the drive needed to succeed so there will be many opportunities for him in hockey management when he is ready to move into that part of the hockey world. Hope the Canucks offer him something.
