  1. Not sure I'd put Graovac in the "grit" bucket. He reminds me a lot of Sandlak ..... big, heavy, decent speed, decent shot, but not a hitter or fighter. Contrast that with Shawn Matthias, who did love to hit. Although all the same height (6'4"), Graovac is 10 lbs lighter than Jim and 25 lighter than Shawn, so maybe only Matthias was comfortable hitting.
  2. That's why I have my doubts about Gadjovich making it. We have several speedsters in the wings who'd be goal line to goal line before Gadj made the far red line ...Lockwood, Bailey, Costmar, Lind, Jasek and, further down, although a defenseman, Jurmo ( who might be fastest of them all!!)
  3. I'm hoping for the same reason Schmidt and Myers weren't mentioned......... Benning regards OJ as a fixture and not a contender.
  4. Every grocery store needs stocking people, else the shelves would be empty.
  5. That's the issue. His name wasn't mentioned as being one of the up and coming young defencemen
  6. One of my old school buddies is a Publican ...... runs a nice bar on Rose Street in Edinburgh. Probably never seen a hockey game in his life, but has an opinion on everything. I'll e-mail him and ask what he thinks of Benning & Green (likely thinks they are a brewery or something)
  7. Must be Virtanen's fault then ... or wait, Eriksson's - he's old enough to have been playing in the seventies and eighties!!
  8. Our new Honey Badger, in more ways than one. Faster, better hands, will challenge Motte for most hits. Just one NHL game, ofc, but a nice body of work in the AHL to go by.
  9. Either that or because Seattle scouts had applied for accreditation to attend the game and JB wanted to hide him from view
  10. *Tinfoil hat on* that's why Gadjovich is sitting out - there a Seattle scout in attendance taking notes
