  1. He seems to have filled out a bit too. In his draft year he was 6' and 205 lbs. Looks about 215 lbs now, and I bet he's stretched to 6'1", maybe a tad more. Solidly built
  2. Also, in yesterday's game Woo was the 1st PP quarterback. Cull is using him in every situation
  3. He had tremendous chemistry with Woo for the handful of games they played together in Utica. Maybe that's the pairing to consider going forward?
  4. First and only player to score 100 points in a season with no fans in the building for any game?? That's not a record?
  5. 4 -2 final. Comets got a PP in last 2 minutes, pulled the goalie for a 6 on 4 but couldn't connect. Sven and Focht on the ice for 2 even strength goals against
  6. He's a big guy (6'5" and 20i lbs) but doesn't play very physical Career NHl stats are 76 games, 10 goals, 2 assists. Maybe just hasn't shown enough? We're his 3rd team after the Wild and the Caps
  7. Jasek gets one back early in the 3rd, unassisted Syracuse answers on a goal by Cal Foote to restore the 2 goal lead
  8. He lit it up in his 9 game loan to the Moose earlier this season, before his injury. 2 goals, 7 assists in 9 games. Was a +10, and led the AHL in points until his injury. Not a stat that the AHL tracks, but I remember in game 7 or 8 the commentator saying he was 72% in faceoff % for the early season. Didn't take a penalty in that 9 game stretch
  9. Had a couple of mentions for forechecking. But was on the ice for the opening goal against, 5 on 5. Doesn't PK or PP (yet)
  10. Interesting stats from their radio guy ..... Utica is AHL leader in shots per game, but converts about 1 in 15. Cull coaches an extremely up-tempo style, every D is encouraged to engage in offense, and the team has a "shoot first, pass only if no shooting lane" attitude Syracuse leads the AHL in goal conversion. - 1 in every 7 shots So Utica leading in shots 25 to 21 translates to a 3 - 1 Syracuse lead, with the Comets likely to score the next goal
  11. Comets trailing 3 -1 with 5 mins left in the 2nd. About to go onto the powerplay Period ends 3 -1
  12. Big dude there going the other way. Bigger than Nurse. Can he skate? PTO and turn him loose?
  13. Collects his 8th assist on the PP goal by McGing that ties Syracuse 1 -1. Lockwood with the other assist
  14. PP assist to Lockwood (and Focht) on McGing's tying goal in the first (1-1)
  15. Focht and Lockwood with assists on McGing's PP goal to tie Syracuse 1 -1 in the first St Louis' Hofer in goal for the Comets
  16. 5-4 Nux Pearson with the GWG Edmonton score first
  17. $1.5m if he insists on keeping Baumgartner and Brown...... $2m if he agrees to replace them
  18. Indeed. - they have been managing to +/- $50,000 each game. One of the reasons why Loui was never called up - his extra cap hit would mean that 2 players would need to be dropped to the taxi squad to remain cap compliant. Chatfield's hit is $700k, OJ's is $833k (Rathbone is $925k) constant juggling act. MacEwen drops out at $825k, replaced by Michaelis at $700k, so JB can play both Rathbone and Juolevi without hitting the ceiling
  19. SKA St Petersburg webpage lists him as 193 cms, which is 6'3"
  20. Why not just win the game? And if McD gets his 4 points it means that we score 5 goals. I'm fine with that
  21. Will be interesting to see who Green slots in. Gadj is in his Winnipeg hotel, so won't be him. Eriksson or Michaelis. - likely the latter. A less obvious choice would be Chatfield or Rafferty playing the wing. Or maybe bring back Juolevi, and move Rathbone (or Hughes) to the wing for this game
