  1. I guess his commitment is to Kladno, so we can't lure him back here to offset Big Joe https://www.nhl.com/news/jaromir-jagr-not-retiring-following-33rd-pro-season/c-324159098
  2. For Tram ro match his after-tax Ekaterinburg earnings hed be asking for $3.25 x 1 or $3 x 2 (given that escrow would likely be lower in year 2). I'm sure JB didnt want to go that high
  3. For Gadj's first game, presumably vs Winnipeg, I'd love to see him on a line with Lind, and have Rathbone playing that game too. Surround him with familiarity. Have Demko in goal, and maybe Juolevi on the ice as well (but obviously not with Rathbone - we know how Green hates these off- siders ..... maybe Rafferty - or is that a bridge too far?). Perhaps with Sutter centering to give the vet presence needed to that line
  4. Fantenberg was a stud for St Petersburg. We should never have let him go
  5. Yeah - Gadjovich is a bust. I'm calling it here. - he's going to go the next 6 days without a point. Mark my words
  6. He redeemed himself somewhat, though, with a great assist on Petey first ever NHL goal The video clip has been removed, but here's the best write up of it ...... https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/courier-archive/news/breakdowning-elias-petterssons-first-career-nhl-goal-3085015
  7. Ah, poor Loui. We all had such high hopes about the Sedins-Eriksson chemistry, but it didn't happen. Who'd have thought that his best linemate would be Goldobin?
  8. Nope. For as long as posters continue to whine about Toffoli being Benning's biggest mistake, others will claim his letting Tryamkin escape is just as egregious
  9. So is Benning going to bring back Linden Vey as our 3rd line center? He was Podz center for his last 15 or so games, and thru the playoffs - worked well together
  10. Tram, but he's going the other way
  11. Or move to Canucks Alumni
  12. Technically, it is alleged sexual misconduct. Not quite synonymous with assault, although it may turn out to be that.
  13. He's being brought up to keep Rathbone company in the stands
  14. Put her to work and change the name to Horvat, or Hoglander (would need to have the number changed too) ..... or does the jersey not fit anymore?
  15. I'd like to see Lind get a look on the PP ... last 2 seasons he's scored 19 goals, 10 of which were PP goals (4 of 5 this year, 6 of 14 last season)
  16. Hughes must lead the league in icings. These slapshot passes can only be picked up by a few players, Petey being one, but that's about it on our team
  17. Featured game is Hartford Wolfpack vs Providence Bruins AHL has a deal with Twitter to stream one game per day and ours was yesterday
  18. He's scored 15 in 19 games, Utica has played 20, and have 9 left to play. He'd need to score 7 to better his current GPG. Granted it is possible - one hat-trick would go a long way, but consider this ..... he scored 11 in his first 12 games, then Rathbone was called up, and now he is at 15 after 19. He was outstanding at jamming home the rebounds from Rathbone's shots, but that's gone now. iirc 8 of Rathbones 9 assists came on Gadjovich goals I'm not knocking him - I am thrilled that he has come so far, having watched him struggle a bit these last 2 seasons, and I am for sure hoping he can crack the big team next season. No one thought at the beginning of this season that 2/3rds through he'd be second in goals for the entire AHL (Leader is at 19 goals with 33 games played!! Which makes Jonah's feat all the more impressive
  19. So you are saying that if he had the same number of goals as now, but Utica had played 5 more games, his GPG would be higher? Unfortunately, it is the other way round - it would be lower But if you are saying that he would score at an even more torrid pace during the playing of the postponed games, then yes. But that's a bold assumption.
  20. Surely not Motte!! If we could somehow clone, and structure a team with 3 Horvats, 3 Millers, 3 Mottes and 3 Hoglanders, we'd be nigh unbeatable
  21. Awesome!! I was brought up in East Wemyss, Kirkcaldy was our nearest big town (Leven was closer, but a lot smaller). Lots of fond memories of the old linoleum town!
  22. Some interesting stats (not Woo related) ..... This season, so far, we rank 20th in penalties called against us, and 29th in Powerplay Opportunuties 2019-20 we ranked 10th most shorthanded, and 2nd in PP opportunities Previous year we were 7th shorthanded and 8th in opportunities 2017-18 we were 3rd most shorthanded and 16th in PP opportunities 2016-17 we were 23rd (tied) shorthanded (only 4 teams with fewer) and 28th in PP opportunities Doesn't seem to be much factual evidence to support the notion that the NHL and the refs are "out to get us"
  23. Now 6 - 1, great PP goal by Gadjovich (Hey Green, that's how it's done!!!)
