  1. "Oh, did I do that too? I've been a naughty boy" Tyrion Lannister - ASOIAF
  2. Here's an interesting piece from a few years ago before Seattle settled on Palm Springs for their farm team. (Note the mention of Houston in connection with the Canucks) https://nhltoseattle.com/2018/07/24/part-2-the-ahl-candidates/
  3. Yeah - Canucks missed the boat on that one. Palm Springs may sell out with all the Seattle winter transplants, but 10000 is a big ask. I think it definitely would have were it Vancouver's team. Tourist office reckons there are about 50,000 winter residents each year from BC/Calgary (not this winter though, I am one of very few) and that doesn't count those that head south for just 2 or 3 weeks
  4. Haven't heard. But in another thread @Ray_Cathodesaid that during one intermission Cull was mumbling something about nagging injuries keeping them out of the lineup
  5. Hmm - scoresheet has been updated - he was on the ice for 3 against, a minus 3
  6. In his interview today Benning was asked if Rathbone was on his way west to join the club. He neither confirmed nor denied it, just prattled on about giving youth a chance in what's left of the season
  7. Ended with 2 SOG and was a minus 2 in a 6 - 2 loss
  8. Benning never did answer the question "Is Rathbone on his way here?". Maybe he, Baertschi and Gadjovich are flying in - none were playing today in the 6 - 2 loss to Providence
  9. Now tied 2 - 2 3 - 2 Providence at the end of the 2nd 4 - 2 in the 1st minute of the 3rd
  10. Haven't heard. Can't imagine they are being rested, 'cos next game is Monday evening. No Baertschi either
  11. Comets lead Providence 2-1 at the end of the 1st on goals by Stevens (Lockwood with an assist) and McKenzie (Jasek with an assist)
  12. Jasek with his 11th assist on a goal by Curtis McKenzie (St Louis farmhand) to put the Comets up 2-0 on Providence
  13. And is wearing Podz' #92
  14. Baertschi sitting this game out. Lockwood playing on a line with the Stevens brothers (and I see that Teves is back in the lineup)
  15. But Demko would have to win 3 consecutive Vezinas to get his career stats back to break even
  16. Freeing up 8 days, the four Ottawa games will be played by the respective captains on NHL21. Players' goals and assists will count as regular stats
  17. If we extend Sutter, and don't protect him, I could see Seattle grabbing him. Exactly the type of veteran they need, can play up and down the line as well as wing, just exudes leadership. Foundational, you could say
  18. So who'll Jett get? It's hard to say - perhaps OJ? But I'd lay a bet the pairs are set, and yet RHDs don't grow on trees Speaking of which, he, the Tree, will also be an RHD And likely partner Hughes, who won't refuse Leaving Rathbone as Woo's to lose (I'll join you on the way out ...)
  19. Woo is already saying nice things about Rathbone
  20. Grooming him to be Russia's captain in a few years
