  1. Pierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrun Canucks got more test results around 5:30 pm PT/8:30 pm ET last night and six more players had tested positive. Obviously there's fear of more players testing positive today. Wishing the Canucks the best here. Hockey isn't the priority right now. 8:54 AM · Apr 2, 2021 1.4K See the latest COVID-19 information on Twitter
  2. Didn't the original release about the additional 6 say they were positive test results?
  3. 3 - 0 Final Podz with just under 6 mins in the 3rd
  4. The 2 goals were 55 seconds apart, both in the last 2 minutes of the period. Podz is getting trained well, ready for the Canucks
  5. Technically, I guess that if both Calgary and Vancouver get mathematically eliminated, they could schedule that make-up game to be played during the playoffs. Wouldn't work with the Edmonton or the 2 Jets games, though, as they might determine final standings
  6. Didn't the league, when drawing up the schedule, provide a 2 week buffer zone between scheduled end of season and start of playoffs to accommodate exactly this?
  7. It's a fine line between "well-rested" and "rusty" ......... Boyd commented on how boring it was being cooped up for 7 days, with in-room workouts, no fresh air or outside exercise, etc etc
  8. At least we get to watch Podz tomorrow at 9:30 in his semi- finals match
  9. But Ray Aho is a goalie - and it was Ohio State pinching him from Michigan, not really comparable
  10. Didn't appear to be injured on the play, but clearly 97 was targetting Kots head
  11. I can photoshop my head onto the body of someone jogging ..... does that count?
  12. I wonder if Nik would consider wearing #77 when he finally suits up for us. Only 2 Canucks have worn that number (Anson Carter, and, briefly, Goldobin), but some pretty decent defensemen have worn it .... Coffey, Bourque, Zhitnik, and, currently, Viktor Hedman
  13. If I could +10 for this, I would. Snorted some good Laphroaig when I read it!!
  14. Money can buy almost anything .....but the vaccine isn't yet a commercially available product, being only supplied to governments who have contracted with the pharmaceutical companies. Those US players are in states, like California or Florida, where any age group is now eligible at taxpayers expense. (I had my second Moderna shot a few hours ago, was asked for ID a month ago but they accepted a BC driver's license) We laughed at the US a few months ago as they bungled thru their response, but they sure have stepped up to the plate in vaccine approval, distribution and implementation
  15. Some US teams have been vaccinated, but the Canadian teams pulled back, not wanting to be seen to have preferential status
  16. *sigh* Ten o'clock here and already 79°F. Played golf yesterday and by 1 in the afternoon was 94° ..... dragged my ass the last 6 holes, even although was riding a cart. Looking forward to returning north, even with the 3 days in the Black Cells beneath the Quarantine Hotel dungeons
  17. Maybe Roussel is just adept at getting a line change when the puck is coming the other way, leaving poor Gaudette to fish the puck out of the net?
  18. Interesting, looking at our stats, I was surprised to see we have only 3 players on the plus side of the +/- column, and they're not who we think they should be ...... Benn, at +5 Roussel at +4 MacEwen at +1 For all the flak Roussel takes here, he is not a detriment to the team
  19. I'd take Lucic's 7 goals and 7 assists over Eriksson's 0 and 1, though. With 105 hits he'd instantly be on top of our list of players hitting ( although at -13 he'd be up in the Quinn Hughes/Adam Gaudette territory)
  20. So have we, except our coach won't play them, prefers to have them sit and develop by watching canny vets struggle with the pace of today's game
