  1. Thanks for the heads up. I visited there a few years ago with my godson and his mother (from Ekaterinburg) for a few days and hired a student tour guide with a car to show us around. He constantly said "St Pete's" when he was speaking English to me so I assumed that was just a transliterstion and have used it ever since. Now I know better!!
  2. Ukrainian Police Women ........ https://images.app.goo.gl/DR86dM8kw1mSdJjs8
  3. He wears #19 when representing Russia, but ofc he can't wear that here. #19 was already taken when he made St Pete's, and Linden Vey had taken the reverse, #91, so Podz went with #92. My guess is that he will stick with #92 when he comes here. No canuck has ever worn 92, so he would be starting a new tradition
  4. Let's not forget the effect of the deferred ELC bonuses. With the utilization of so much LTIR this season, we are pushing a lot to next year. Hughes will for sure hit another couple of targets, as will Petey. We carried over $1.7 million from last year and potentially could be pushing $3.9 million into next season
  5. If Beagle's non-contact jersey repels covid air particles, the whole team should wear them
  6. I heard it was Hoglander challenged him to a juggling contest ... with 20 lb shotputs
  7. St Pete's win 3- 2 on O/T, leading series 2 games to 1 Podz with 16:11 icetime, 1 goal, 2 SOG, 2 PIMs and 2 blocked shots
  8. St Pete's win 3-2 in O/T, lead the series 2 games to 1 Podkolzin with 16:11 icetime, finishing with 1 goal, 2 PIM. 2 SOG and 2 blocked shots
  9. Podz takes a holding penalty in the second, and Moscow scores to make it 2 - 1 St Pete's (Fantenberg assisted on second goal by Burdasov)
  10. (Podkolzin opens the scoring for St Pete's- up 1-0 in the first)
  11. Just as an aside, with only 7 Canadian-born players on our active roster, are we the lowest team in the NHL in terms of Canadians playing? Horvat, Virtanen, Hawryluk and MacEwen among the forwards, Benn and Hamonic on defense, and Holtby
  12. I see from the roster post that Motte is just a shadow of his former self. Whatever happened to his photo?
  13. Picked up his first point for Laval with an assist in a 4 -3 win Saturday evening
  14. He learned at the feet of the master - studied endless videos of Green with Virtanen and Juolevi
  15. Showing the form that had him rated top 3 beginning of his draft year before the "Oh yes, he's Russian" sentiment took over dropping him into JBs lap at 10th
  16. No scoring after the 2nd. Podz with 10 mins icetime after 2, playing on the 3rd line
  17. And in the short term Graovac is available, in the taxi squad. I can't find the reference but I remember after 6 Moose games he was something like 21 for 27 in the dot
  18. For me it's Demko next 3 games until the break, then send him to a spa for a week for r & r If Holtby is rusty, playing him for1 game then another 12 days off (assuming Demko plays the 2 vs Winnipeg) won't "unrust" him. We have to ride the hot hand as every point is crucial, but none more than the 2 tonight
  19. But ... but.... this winter they've been bringing fans out of their seats!!!
