  1. Garland is going to have his work cut out if he is the designated Keller shadow
  2. Hmm - I'm getting the Arizona feed. Should be an interesting take on the Nux
  3. NHLs longest winning streak is 17, by the Penguins. That number is firmly in Petey's sights
  4. Impressive, but what do those numbers mean? Eg that first row of 5 boxes, what does "PP 1%" mean? That he gets 1% of the powerplay time? That's hard to believe. That 1% of his TOI is powerplay? That's more credible . But if so, then does "PK 31%" mean that 31% of his on ice time is on the PK? Obviously not Help me understand why these statistics are so damning
  5. I'd like to see Hughes stay with Juulsen untill the end of the season. They've been paired together since Schenn was traded, and Noah hasn't looked out of place. Watch him tonight for a couple of shifts .. he is always aware of where QH is on the ice and makes himself available for an outlet pass when he sees Quinn in trouble. Doesn't hit indiscriminately but picks his spots. Not the best intimidator though, and imo needs to have a more active stick. But evaluate after a 25 game sample. We might have the ideal partner for Hughes right under our noses
  6. I don't see that at all. I think he comes back, healthy, and is paired with Hronek and asked to be the defensive conscience of that pairing. And they will eat up huge swathes of minutes. To me he has been miscast in his tenure here. Always was a good PP quarterback, but saw his powerplay icetime drastically reduced here with just the final 15 or 10 seconds after Hughes had done his thing. Was asked to be the shutdown guy then had to baby sit the chaos giraffe - last season they were adequate, but this year a disaster. Lingering injury? Myers has develooed some chemistry with Brisebois (as he briefly did with Juolevi) and I could see them being a regular 3rd line pair (and if Myers gets traded in the off season, then Bear - if qualified - steps in (or Juulsen - see below) Juulsen is complementing Hughes really well, doesn't hit as often as Schenn did, but can deliver them equally well. Is a better skater though, and maybe a better passer. Has a heavier shot, too. Like Bear, though, needs to be resigned. If Schenn is brought back, then I think Juulsen, if resigned, returns to Abby ... he's not the best candidate for 7th D, as Burroughs or Dermott can play either side (although Burr would need to be resigned and Dermott qualified) What if Poolman returns healthy? Where does he fit in? And Wolanin? What will his asking price be to resign as a Free Agent? For sure I have rose colored glasses as regards our D-corps, but since the acquisition of Hronek I think management has given Tocchet a slate of players he can use to ice a credible defense
  7. And yet half the posters here railed on Bo for not jumping in every time a Canuck sweater was ruffled
  8. Tocchet has said he'll start 3 of the next 4 ... Delia will get the 2nd of the back to backs
