  1. I think Jules is ahead of Woo in the depth chart. .. and Hughes said after a couple of games together that be thought they complemented each other quite well
  2. After screwing Arizona with the OEL buyout I can't see them ever dealing with us again

  5. Game 7 of the final will be free - featuring Hershey Bears (NHL Washington) at Coachella Valley Firebirds (NHL Seattle) Wednesday at 7:00 pm Here's the (long) link .... https://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001SaogVmb-JOox8FdC33SFfgVC6xWg57CBBFeIN0_qLI-Zsww4eiqoF5k33sSK6gTtj8na4qJh6ZCCS9xkp94yXPefPs8Sw3aHAur1sguvIRnShC9Prz1KlSzgbPwB0avw9hoJXZQSLEFg3jvmFLRm5Q==&c=Jgh1kD1WpLH4crtpMQSTXhvO-Te10EqL1r5iDe10v-f8UwYZjZBKSg==&ch=jWz31BadZLa30hGEldYinkar9F-asnikfHuKKAMJxlzx869EjKIXlg== Firebirds have ex-Canucks Kole Lind and Brogan Rafferty (Ignore the pricing schedule - when you sign up it creates the free account)
  6. Down 3 games to 2, Coach Bylsma is riding Rafferty like a rented mule. Over 17 mins in just 2 periods as they lead by 4-2
  7. Down 3 games to 2, Lind with a PP goal to put CV up 4-2 after the second period. Must win game for the Firebirds to stay alive. This game, and next, are at home Edit: gets a second goal 4 mins into the 3rd to put the Birds up 5-2 Edit (2): Final score 5-2. Lind the 1st star Game 7 Wednesday evening
  8. Rafferty with 2 assists in the Firebirds 5-0 win in game 1 of the AHL Calder Cup finals
  9. Lind with 3 assists (and 3rd star) in the Firebirds 5 - 0 takedown of fhe Hershey Bears in game 1 of the Calder Cup Finals
  10. Yeah. .. nice assist on the winning goal tonight. He's turning into quite a playmaker these playoffs (7g, 14a) compared to almost even stats in the regular season (30g, 32a)
  11. He had a good regular season with the Kraken farm team ... 9 goals and 42 assists in playing every game (72) and finished a +28 Top RHD for the team, plays in every situation. Kraken have depth at right D, so he can't crack the big team, but he'd look good in a Canucks sweater right now.
  12. Down 1 - 0, Rafferty gets his first of the playoffs to pace Firebirds to a 2-1 win to go up 3 to 2 in the AHL Western Conference finals Next 2 games (if 2 are needed) will be in Palm Desert Hershey Bears await the winner
  13. Unlikely to be given a contract, per Dhaliwal (nor Lockhart)
  14. Dhaliwal reporting that the Canucks are unlikely to sign him (or Costmar) .....
  15. Lind did get 23 games with the big club in their inaugural season (2g, 6a) but Seattle felt that he needed to find his scoring touch. Got 17 in 46 games with their shared affiliation with Florida and really came to his own this winter (played in every gane - 72) and finished with 30g and 32 assists. Has been a beast post season with 7 goals and 10 assists in 13 playoff games so far I agree with you re Rafferty ... there are some classic hilite clips from his Utica days and I had high hopes for him, but like Di Pietro, I think the inactivity in the taxi squad in the bubble season killed any progression he was seeing. He couldn't crack a weak Anaheim team last season, so had little chance of doing so with a much stronger Kraken defense squad this season. Unless the coach is willing to live with the inevitable rookie mistakes, and give him ice time, a career will atrophy quickly. I hope this doesn't happen to Wolanin. (I remember the bubble series against Vegas .. their Whitecloud was a bit of a stumbler/bumbler that series, notable mainly for his head over heels into the bench while trying to make a hit, than for any play he made. Now he is a stalwart on their defense)
  16. Had a really strong game last night in the Firebirds series-clinching 6-5 O/T win over Calgary. Led the team with 5 shots on goal, had 2 assists and was a plus 1 in almost 30 mins of ice time
  17. Was on the ice for all 3 Firebirds goals last night in their 3-2 third overtime period win over Calgary to go 2-1 up in the best of 5 series. Lone assist in the O/T winner. Crowd was announced at 8,532, so even with most of the Seattle/Vancouver/Calgary snowbirds back home they still drew a great crowd.
  18. Doesn't often wear a vest
  19. Looking very smart tonight in his 3-piece suit!!
  20. Earns 1st star (2g, 1a) in the Firebirds 6-3 win over Calgary Wranglers in the first game of the best of 5 series
