  1. Funny thing , I was all for moving Boeser to try and acquire Debrusk who was unhappy in Boston end of last season, and Zacha from NJ, hoping to get Mukhamadullin as well. Boesers performance this season is something we should capitalize on , I’m still hoping we trade him.
  2. Framing in the future . Nice, young man has been performing well .
  3. Hard to think we aren’t on his shortlist of place to be .. his profile pics on IG and FB are him in a Canucks jersey.. and all while he’s been using IG while he has been away for 8 years.
  4. Well with the positivity and optimistic views I try to keep , .. I wish you had something contrary in your NHL play to compare too It was a rough few years unfortunately, and I kind of respect the fact Tryamkin left. It may well have shed more light on issues within the franchise.…. Perhaps he did us a favour. id love for both player and franchise to correct a wrong. sometimes you have to step off the world and let it rotate a few times before getting back on.
  5. Anyone who wants to be hesitant , can be hesitant.. but that still leaves the door open for the opportunity to prove there is no need to be. For example , I see a one year contract offered a a “show me” at roughly 1.5m for the season. It’s practically a no lose contract for the team as they still have the depth to support the position. except for the type of game this player brings, something that is only there if an aging Schenn has played. ps. “Contrary to yourself” .. meant to be contrary to your opinion with my viewpoints. apologies for that. “promise” is something I refer to as a player, usually giving way to his first handful of NHL games. playing 79 in his first year in North America, and then being offered another one way contract to stay, to me means he has proved himself to stay.
  6. Go back , the post was about people having an obsession. I never said you said that I am or was obsessed. I said I think the obsession is by those who hold a grievance with this player and regurgitate , or rinse repeat stuff from a terrible coaches lips , from a franchise who offered nothing to indenture this young Russian into North American life, or the expectations of him when with this franchise. could just as easily be more an a poor agent issue. Contrary to yourself, in his 79 gp, I think he did prove himself at the NHL level. any rookie at 20 or 21 who can draw the ire, and push back agains a power forward like J Benn. Ryan Getzlaff, or Andrew Ladd and others,. and then be offered a 2m contract by the Canucks .. has proven something to stay in the NHL. Dont you think? But nothing will “prove to be”, unless he returns.. as I’ve posted earlier, I think the Bruins may offer him a contract.
  7. To add to above: It’s my point of veiw that usually gets me replying back to others like yourself.…. Then I get called a “lover” or “defender”…. Which really makes me laugh,. thank you.
  8. I think he is , just my opinion , I have watched him play over the past 8 years where others have not.. most that offer their negative opinions are relying on what they saw of him in 2017 or the negative press Desjardins created about him as a prospect , without ever talking to him. Lots got blown out of proportion and perspective with him as a rookie here ( 8 years ago).
  9. No, that’s not what I said, nor is it about me. im good with my stance,. But people holding a grievance with a 20 year old player, who played a total of 79 games, about 8 years ago , keep the “obsession “ alive . This is merely an opportunity worth exploring for a season, with a player who played well for us in his rookie season, when matched against some of the heavier power forwards in the NHL. .. I did say at 20 years old. That was an impressive showing. it’s hockey, every team is run a bit different, but the upside to having him here at this time is the D Coaching staff of Gonchar (russian) and Foote.. as well as a contingency of RuZ players to “centralize “ and communicate with.
  10. I think that those who hold some kind of grievance with this player, think that’s it’s an obsession,. I see it as an option.. and a decent one,. and also a low cost opportunity for both this franchise and the player to prove themselves better, and correct what was wrong in the past.
  11. Why not have both? There is room. You see the physicality of playoff hockey,. The Size , Strength, and Power of Defending has never changed. But fans here get used to a lesser brand, and forget what wins cups. we have skilled , puck moving Defenders,. Now we need shutdown Guards to compliment.
  12. Saving around 4 m in capspace and getting a better shutdown D, board Heavy, pk’r. is what this team needs.… and Tryamkin is a better skater than Myers.. but I’m sure that’s “mind boggling “
  13. Because he dosent have a clause stipulating he dosent need to.
  14. The report translated from Russian, differs slightly from the Tweet quoted: Defender Nikita Tryamkin told about his career plans in an interview with SE. Former defender of "Motorist" Nikita Tryamkin does not comment on his future. - I'll say this: I'm not negotiating with anyone in Russia yet, - said the hockey player. - It won't be fair. I'm waiting for a call from across the ocean, but I confess that I'm not going to wait long. And if it doesn't exist, I'll instruct the agents to look at the Russian options. It should be noted that in both the KHL and the NHL, Tryamkin is an unlimited free agent. This season, the 28-year-old defender scored 11 (2+9) points in 64 regular season matches. In the NHL, he played 79 games at Vancouver and scored 11 (3+8) points.
  15. It’s an odd time, Draft Approaching, NCAA availability, …. Cap space. Dust usually settles by August.
  16. If we don’t sign him , I think he could possibly end up in Boston.
  17. In the interview , my interpretation of it , he was light heartedly making a comment about a culture he realized was accepted, but all new to him,. He went on further to say that he liked Vancouver, and especially the fans,. He appreciated how welcomed some his physical play was. He is usually booed , or rather, whistled at when he hits opponents in the KHL,. And his home team crowd doesn’t really respond to physical play.
  18. That’s another discussion,. but in that moment, as a Canucks rookie and prospect,. It seems like an appropriate response for someone who is not fluent in the English language and navigating a culture he has never seen before.
  19. Would it be better for a 20 year old NHL Hockey Player to endorse it? How about the Sedins, should they endorse it? I mean if it’s going to be an “issue” by posters here,. It seems pretty petty.
